Summary
After an exhausting school year, the party could not believe they had finally (somehow) made it to summer. Fortunately, two special and highly anticipated weeks had motivated the party to survive the school year: Camp Starlight. A secluded location just south of Indiana, Camp Starlight was known to be the most exceptional location due to its beautiful scenery, outgoing counselors, and exciting activities. The party knew this very well. They’ve known this since sixth grade, when they witnessed Nancy brag about the planets and stars she could see with her bare eyes as soon as she arrived home, or when Steve would buy them ice cream with the money he earned working there, often telling the party that “their time was soon” and that “they would be old enough to go in a couple years”. That time had finally come. After much consideration, the families agreed that they would have the kids all carpool there, using Joyce's old camper van that she hasn't used since the summer of 79’ when she took little Will and Jonathan on their first trip to a national park.
