Summary
As time swung by, so did Alhaitham and Kaveh's temparments toward each other. Back and forth like the oscillation of an eternal pendulum, they turned to and away from each other- but a good day seemed to promise a storm far more often than a bad one implied sunshine. This was of no surprise to Kaveh. Their living together only offered more mediums than public library books and research papers for them to argue through, after all, so this was easily predictable for anyone with the slightest foresight. They'd had countless reiterations of their original falling out by now, each one progressively duller than the last.
Kaveh, on his end, was at least being offered a place to live in in exchange for tolerating it. But Alhaitham, the polar opposite of an altruist, seemingly gained nothing from their arrangement but further strife.
Kaveh had far more pressing concerns than to figure out Alhaitham's motivations. Until he didn't.
