"wow. you're really bad at this." you said, your voice laced with shock. you guys had started making the bracelets two hours ago, yet kaiser wasn't even halfway done yet! you, on the other hand, had already made two different bracelets. he seemed to be focusing on getting the string of the bracelet into the tiny hole in the bead— but would fail to do so every time.
he put his unfinished bracelet down, as he sighed. "why is this so hard anyway? i kind of regret letting you choose what to do for our date." you glared at him, making him put his hands up like a criminal caught by the police. "you were the one who said you were bored of going to cafés for dates! plus, you said we could do whatever i wanted us to do!" you yelled, getting a little more upset.
he merely grunted, already regretting his decision. perhaps he'd be better off training and honing his skills rather than doing this... waste of time activity. but he couldn't bring himself to get up and leave. why? because you were with him, and every second with you was more precious than any trophy, than any goal. he was afraid he wouldn't have any more time to spend it with you like this.
"alright, alright. how about we make one together, since i'm so bad at this?" your eyes lit up. that was the question you've been waiting for. the chance to make your romance bloom even more. you immediately took the unfinished bracelet in your hands, as you guide him to the right ways of putting the beads in.
he couldn't take his eyes off the way your hands move when you show him how to put the beads in. your laughter when he kept failing lingered in his head. but... these weren't entirely unwelcome. in fact, it felt comforting. he felt like he finally had someone by his side.
perhaps, this was the reason why he had tried so hard to survive. to feel loved, to have someone to lean on, to spend his time with. someone to love.
“why does it look kind of ugly, though?” safe to say he went to bed with a suspiciously palm shaped mark on his face that night.
