John has dreamed of Sherlock before, more times than he can count. Sometimes he sees Sherlock falling again. He wakes from those dreams with a shout, his body covered in sweat. Other times he simply sees their lives as they once were. They’re drinking tea together, or laughing at the television. Sometimes they’re kissing, soft and slow, and John is carefully mapping out the lines of Sherlock’s chest.
