Summary
EAST, a group whose promise was cut short a year ago by management scandals and the sudden, unexplained disappearance of their center, Wang Yao. As for the unit's leader, Kiku Honda, the disbandment was more than a career setback. Yao's absence is a ghost that never left, haunting Kiku's present as he moves through a patchwork of minor gigs, clinging to the edges of an industry that has largely moved on. Each small job is less a step forward for him and more a way to sustain the shell of a life that still echoes with the silence Yao left behind.
