Work Text:
Getting xB out of his hoodie has been a decade-long endeavor.
It's- listen. He's just a very private man.
Doesn't stop him from feeling stupid for not being able to trust the people he trusts most with something they already know.
He pulls off the hoodie like a bandage, undisguised arms hitting open air. With another small moment of hesitation, he cracks the human shell on his hands, making sure to do some stretches as his form loses more rigidity.
Before fully committing to this t-shirt thing, he looks back in the mirror. At his shifting arms, at the perfectly still talons coming from his paws, at the bits of shell he still hasn't let himself break. At the stuff making up his arms, only fur as much as a fox is underbrush. At his eyes, clear and blue, pupils pinpricks. At a monster, one step closer to letting himself be loved for who he is.
...He'll try this out for a season. Maybe.
