Work Text:
No one would've expected how much Thoma became a part of their lives. From his helpful nature to his daily greetings, something about his kindness integrated him into everyone's lives—especially Yoimiya's.
Children would often flock to her, all eager to watch as she assembled a firework with her detailed craftsmanship. However, they were excited because it was something cool to see. Thoma? He loved to hear her ramble about the specifics of fireworks. The ingredients, measurements—all of the science behind it. He could listen to it endlessly and even spew out questions that intrguied her as well. It made her feel loved.
Being around him felt different. Different in the best way possible. Yoimiya carried herself with more excitement and joy, something she didn't believe to be possible. Her heart felt like it ran marathons every day when Thoma was around, the never ending butterflies fluttering around her chest made her feel alive and free.
She clung onto these times they'd spend together, thriving in every second. Though their days may seem lackluster or even boring to others, the sky turned a hue brighter whenever he was around. Even with menial chores occupying their tasks for the day, everything was easier whenever he was around.
These moments of pure euphoria were what made life worth living. But, a new girl came into the picture. He worked for her, often spending his time away from the city and practically living in her residence.
Yoimiya hated it.
The skies felt grey, the flowers began to wither, her smile began to falter. She hated this feeling of absolute insufferable misery.
So, she had to do something about it.
