“Do you ever think about whether or not we are really in control?”
This is Jisungs’ chosen pillow talk topic for the night, something philosophical and hard to keep track of. Minho blinks once, slightly confused.
“…What do you mean?” He rubs his eyes, an attempt to fend off his tiredness. “We as in…you and me?”
Jisung rolls over, a slight pout in his lip, his eyes wandering over Minho’s features as he tries to think.
“Well, yes, you and me but also…humankind? Are we really the most intelligent species, and are we the rulers?”
“In this life, I suppose we are.” Minho wraps his arms tighter around Jisung, running his hands along the muscles in his back, feeling them with his fingers. “You’re religious though, aren’t you?”
Jisung presses himself into Minho’s chest, humming affirmatively.
“So, does that means you think we are ruled by some sort of God or higher being?”
“That’s the gist of it. But just,” Jisung yawns deeply, stretching his limbs out in every direction, “Don’t you think that a God or some kind of almighty creator, would try and prevent its creations from committing the acts they find sinful?”
Minho gently traces Jisungs’ spine, a slow up-down motion. “God work in mysterious ways.”
Jisung stifles a laugh. “You never say stuff like that.”
Minho chuckles quietly. “It just felt right.”
Another yawn from Jisung, another full-body stretch and then return to fetal position.
“Getting sleepy soldier?” Minho gently ruffles his hair. “Must’ve used all your IQ points on that smart people conversation.”
Jisung chuckles at that, playfully swatting at Minho’s shoulder. “I guess so…”
He smiles up at Minho, teeth and all, before once cuddling against his chest and promptly dozing off.
