    16-year-old Mikey Way finds a way to join World War II to follow his older brother Gerard's footsteps. Now, the Way brothers have to find a way to protect each other while knowing they were doomed from the start.

    Meanwhile, other soldiers have their own aspirations. Frankie Iero, a religious young soldier, longs to marry his fiancée back at home, Jamia, when and if he gets back. Raymond Toro, one of the medics, wishes for a future with Gerard. Unfortunately that feels impossibly out of reach, especially in a time where men like them are forbidden to love one another.
