When Joe entered the bar, he saw Nicky singing and dancing on the stage. And when Nicky saw Joe, he smiled.
Nicky speaking into the microphone: "Yusuf, there you are. Everyone, say hi to Yusuf."
Some people did what Nicky asked them to do.
Nicky still speaking into the microphone: "I will now sing a song to the man I have been in love with for over a thousand moons."
Nicky started singing 'Eternal Flames' and Joe found it very sweet. Suddenly, Joe heard a familiar French laughter and looked at Booker.
Joe: "Okay, what have you done to Nicky this time?"
Booker: "All I did was ask Nicky if he wanted to taste a Virgin Cuba Libre, which might not have been so Virgin Cuba Libre as they pretended to be."
Joe groaned because he knew it did not take much to get Nicky drunk.
Joe: "Why did you do it, Booker?"
Booker: "Because I was bored and in my boredom, I remembered you pranked me last week, so I decided to pay you back. Thanks again for the dishcloth in my sandwich."
Joe: "You are welcome. Now tell me, how many drinks did Nicky drink?"
Booker: "Somewhere between two and five, but it might be closer to eight. It is not my fault he drank them so fast."
Booker patted Joe on his shoulder.
Booker: "Good luck with getting your boyfriend off the stage. The last time it only took you most of the night."
Booker left the bar laughing, leaving Joe to ponder how to get his drunk boyfriend off the stage, but for now, Joe let Nicky have his fun.
