They lay tangled in the quiet glow of the late evening, the sheets rumpled around them like soft waves. The room still smelling faintly off sex.
Lando was laying with his head on Oscar’s chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, a sound that had quickly become his favorite in the world.
His fingers drew lazy shapes across the warm skin of Oscar’s stomach, possessive in that unthinking way love sometimes can be.
Every so often, he tilted his head to press a kiss to Oscar’s chest, tasting traces of salt and warmth.
Oscar’s fingers drifted idly up and down Lando’s back, slow and contented. His eyes were closed, but there was no sleepiness in the gesture, just peace.
When Lando lifted his head and smiled at him, Oscar’s eyes opened, half-lidded and soft with affection.“Hi,” he murmured, his voice low and warm, the word barely a breath.Lando’s heart swelled at the sound.
He leaned down, brushing a lingering kiss over Oscar’s lips before whispering, “Hey, beautiful,” the words melting against Oscar’s mouth. His fingers continued tracing patterns on Oscar’s skin, like a promise.
Oscar smiled, reaching up to brush his knuckles along Lando’s jaw.
The touch made Lando lean into him instinctively, a soft sound escaping as he caught Oscar’s hand and pressed a kiss to his palm.
He intertwined their fingers and places them over Oscar’s heart.“I’m so happy,” Lando murmured, voice heavy with sincerity.
Oscar turned his head and kissed the side of Lando’s face, letting his lips linger there for a moment. “Me too,” he whispered against Landos skin.The simple exchange, quiet and loving, filled the room with warmth.
Lando shifted, pressing another gentle kiss to Oscar’s lips, deepening it for a heartbeat before pulling back, his forehead resting against Oscar’s. “I love you so much,” he breathed, eyes shining. “Im like...stupidly in love with you.”
Oscar laughed softly, his heart catching in his chest. He still couldn’t believe this was real, Even after almost 3 years, that someone like Lando, energic, bright and impossibly kind, had chosen him as his partner, his lover. He brushed their noses together, smiling. “I love you too, Sweetheart.”
Lando’s eyes fluttered closed at the endearment, his smile widening in quiet satisfaction. He pressed a kiss to Oscar’s nose before settling his head back over his heart.
“You're my everything,” he murmured, the words almost lost against Oscar’s skin.Oscar chuckled quietly, the sound rumbling against Lando’s ear.
He tightened his arm around him and pressed a kiss to his hair, breathing in the faint scent of Lando’s shampoo, Vanilla and something golden, like sun-warmed wood.
“I’m so glad I found you,” Lando whispered.
“So am I,” Oscar replied, pulling him closer still until no space remained between them.Lando sighed, sinking fully into the warmth that surrounded him.
His hand rose and fell with the steady motion of Oscar’s breathing as he traced another lazy pattern across his chest.
After a long pause, he looked up again, eyes gentle but full. “We're forever, yeah?”
Oscar’s answer came not as a word but as a hum at first, soft, warm and certain.
Then he nodded, running his fingers through Lando’s hair. “Forever and always.”He promised.
Lando’s lips curved in a small, content smile.
He pressed one last kiss to Oscar’s chest, whispering, “Forever and always,” he breathed before closing his eyes again.
Lando beamed inside, thrilled that Oscar yearned for forever too. Unbeknownst to Oscar, a small velvet ring box hid tucked away behind Landos streaming setup in the other room.
Outside the night fell quiet and deep. The waves of the Sea hitting the harbor Inside, just their warmth and their soft breaths filled the silence. They both knew they found something worth keeping forever.
