Summary
Lando Norris was a brilliant pilot — everyone thought so. Sure, a bit crazy, a bit reckless, but that was just his adventurous spirit constantly urging him to find out what it was like to fly a fighter with one engine out.
Oscar, as the head of the medical service in their military unit, believed that one day he would fly himself straight onto a sad granite slab in the cemetery or, at best, into a demotion back to the rookies. One of these days, Oscar would simply kill him. If Norris didn't manage to do it himself first.

Obviously Lando did not feel sorry for winning the championship, that would be stupid.
It would also be stupid to feel sorry for your teammate who did not win it, that was not what the sport was about.
So why did he keep apologising to said teammate every five minutes?
Or, Lando Norris is a mess when thinking Oscar Piastri hates him.
