Summary
After the fall of Caesar, Brutus survives the conspiracy only to be claimed by the man who helped destroy it. What begins as captivity becomes routine, and what becomes routine begins to feel like mercy. Bound by guilt, fear, and a love that confuses possession with devotion, Brutus learns how easily freedom can be replaced by warmth. When the snow comes, it offers not escape—but an ending neither of them can walk away from.
