Chapter Text
Ron
“Can you believe her?” Harry seethed. “Draped all over him like that. Can you believe he lets her do that? I would’ve thought he’d have more class.”
Ron turned in his seat at the Gryffindor table to see who Harry was looking at, but he hardly needed to. Of course it was Malfoy and Parkinson over at the Slytherin table. Again.
“Class? Malfoy?” Ron snorted as he turned back to his lunch.
“Can’t imagine why she thinks she’s caught such a prize,” Hermione said without looking up from her book, which she had propped up to one side of her plate as she ate her sandwich.
“I know, right?” Harry pounced on Hermione’s words, eager and gratified.
We have got to stop encouraging him, Ron thought dully.
“She acts like she thinks we’re all jealous of her!” Harry said, making a face. “What is there to be jealous of? I mean, just because Malfoy’s rich, and dresses well. And I guess he’s tall. Girls probably like that. And he’s thin. A lot of people would probably say he’s too skinny, but some people don’t want a lot of muscle.”
Ron exchanged a glance with Hermione.
“And of course there’s the hair.” Harry continued, musing now. “Lots of people are blond, but… you know, not like him. And he has pretty eyes… I mean, I’ve heard a lot of people say that he does.”
Ron groaned and dropped his head on the table with a thunk.

Draco
Pansy’s mouth was soft against his, her body wedged snugly between Draco’s chest and the Slytherin table. It wasn’t the easiest thing to do, eating lunch with Pansy on his lap. But it was worth it. So worth it.
Pansy broke off the kiss. Draco looked over her shoulder across the Great Hall and made eye contact with Potter, all the way over at the Gryffindor table. Draco blinked deliberately and sucked Pansy’s earlobe into his mouth.
Potter went bright red. He looked furious, Draco noted with delight.
“Pansy,” Draco said. “I think I’ve made the most delicious discovery.”
“Oh?” Pansy said. “What’s that?”
Draco smirked. Potter was glaring daggers at him now.
“I think Potter fancies you,” Draco said.
