   Summary

   The thing is, Robb had asked Jon to stay. He’d pushed Jon against the trunk of the weirwood with shaking hands, anger and despair heavy in his gut, and pleaded for him not to leave. Had swallowed each of Jon’s objections and explanations with a kiss, had whispered a litany of pleas and promises into Jon’s skin. But it wasn’t enough to convince him to stay. Robb wonders now if it was ever enough.
