Healers, Adjust!

Summary:

Humor me. Kit, whistle.

A silly little comic I did because the shield healer and I switched roles about a week before the Heavyweight tier of Arcadion (Savage) dropped. Very special thanks to Bryn and Kai for letting me depict them. 8)

Work Text:

In Sinis Lamentorum, three Viera stand in conversation, dressed in themed glams of mostly orange and black, with different types of horns on their heads. The WAR tank addresses the Static Leader, a WHM. Text: Meanwhile, in The Church of Zodiark and the Latter-Day Ancients Static... Kai Verdlynn: ...and that's why you don't have to worry about our switch, Bryn. I taught Kit everything she needs to know. She's ready. And with you as a co-healer? She can't fail.

The shot focuses on Bryn, positioned between Kit and Kai, face turned toward Kit as they look skeptical. Text reads: Bryn Balsynn: That's flattering, Kai. Just one thing. I was your co-healer last tier. Kit, you know you have to actually heal, right? It's not just hitting things anymore. And you can't get hit. Kai Verdlynn: Of course she knows! Kit's a great tank, and if you think about it, half of tanking is just healing.

The camera swings around, finally showing Kit's face, her lips pursed and cheeks puffed out. She holds a hand up in a half shrug, but says nothing. Bryn addresses her again, and Kai squeezes her shoulder. Text Reads: Kai Verdlynn: Besides, her fairy's going to do most of the work. She's got the rotation down. Bryn Balsynn: Sure. The fairy does most of the healing while you DPS. Kit, you've been awfully quiet. Where exactly is your fairy? in fact, why don't you whistle for her? Kai Verdlynn: Oh, surely we don't need her right now. The rest of the party isn't even here yet. Weird that I got here before them...
