“Grrr!” Mammon growls, and it’s the only warning you get before he’s literally on top of you— though you don’t think he’s noticed, he’s not nearly red enough for that— falling dramatically back onto his bed, phone clutched tight in his hand. If you peek just right you can see Akuzon opened up onto the page of some product (there are multiple other Akuzon tags open too, but you respectfully ignore those in favor of the demon himself) His head ends up on your legs, the phone tilted towards you so you can read it even as rambles to tell you anyway, “There’s this super rare plant that’s having a discount sale, an’ if I could get I could totally upsell it, but even with a discount it’s like ten thousand Grimm, and I don’t got that type o’ money!”
Oh well that’s easily solved. “I can pay for it.”
“And I—” Mammon freezes, eyes going wide, and then like someone pressed a button he jerks up, staring at you like you’ve grown three heads (though with less awe, Mammon still adores Cerberus despite the dogs blatant betrayal) “Wait, ya can what?”
“Pay for it.” You easily snatch his phone, and he doesn’t stop you in his shock (not that he really would even without it but still—) “You said ten thousand Grimm? I can do that.” You add it to the cart and turn, rummaging around your backpack for your card— one of the more annoying things about living in the Devildom had at first been getting your money here, but they’d worked it out, aka this special card that did instant transfers and exchanges between human money and Grimm, it’s really convenient— and adding the card to his saved ones (really it’s surprising you haven’t done this before—) Before clicking through it told you that there was a thousand dollar savings if you bought this twice and you hummed, “Hey, Mams, would you mind if I got more of these? I can get this package twice if you’d like. It’s only an extra nine thousand Grimm. Now that I’m thinking about it, are you sure you want just two, I could totally do a couple more…”
“W—huh?!” Mammon stutters, “No! Two is fine, wait— I mean, ya don’t—”
“Two it is then.” You add both the cart, and confirm the order. With the buzz of your D.D. in your pocket you know it’s went through and you hand him his back.
Finally, you look back at him, and realize that— the red you were waiting for is there now. More of it even, so much so that his ears are red and his eyes are going that fuzzy soft tint they do when he’s really burning up. It makes your own eyes go soft, and… a little confused. You guys have been sort of dating for months now, so it usually takes a little bit more than some physical contact for him to really get this flustered anymore (which you’re fine with, though you think he’s cute when blushes, you like the idea that he’s comfortable around you even more) and you’re not quite sure what could cause this. “Mams, are you okay, you look—”
“I’m… I’m great, human.” Mammon’s promises, eyes drawn to the phone screen, which you can assume is showing the package’s likely delivery date. “Thank ya.”
“Oh, it’s nothing.” It really is nothing for him. If he asked, you would give him all of your money, no matter what the others said about it. (it’s the best thing you could throw your money at anyway, your favorite demon deserves all that he’s ever desired and more)
The awe Mammon throws at you before hesitantly showing you some of his more expensive desired items and watching him finally laughing in excitement when you add them all to another cart and easily confirm all of it— those things make all of it worth it.
Now that your money is finally in Devildom with you, you’ll be using it as often and for whatever Mammon wants, and he’ll never have to worry about running out ever again.
