    History is written by the winners.
    Those who survived and are still able to rewrite what happened in their own way. The dead remain in the footnotes. Their fates are distorted over time by legends, longing, hatred — and even love.

    This story is written on behalf of those who can no longer speak. Not to justify or accuse — but to protect it from the myths and vandalism of the whole world.

    It has everything: first glances, first love, first destruction. But there is no redemption here. No one was completely wrong — nor completely right. Some learned to survive by paying with the deaths of others. Others will be called heroes. Some — villains. The truth turns out to be far less desirable than a convenient lie.

    Leon didn't reason — he wanted to be a good person and be loved.
    Vesker didn't think about it — he wanted the world to be logical and efficient.
    And between them — something that is scary to talk about, terrifying to realize, and impossible to dream aloud.

    And perhaps the story written by the winner is just another form of lie.
