“Hey, come on!” You heard him knock at the door. “I said I'm sorry!”
“Sorry doesn't bring back my fucking pizza, does it?!” You called out. Truly you had no intention of letting him in after that betrayal - your favorite pizza you ordered, all gone thanks to that patchfaced moron.
So now he was left outside the bedroom door where he spent the last 10 minutes convincing you to calm down. You felt kinda guilty as you heard his sad voice, but it was his fault for messing with the wrong person at the wrong time of the month.
You pulled the blanket over your head to slightly muffle his complaints, trying to focus on falling asleep – as far as you were concerned, he was lucky he was even allowed to sleep on the couch.
The knocking continued for about a minute before it suddenly stopped. As much as you wanted to think he had just given up, you knew it was almost suspiciously quick. “He better not be planning anything.” You thought to yourself.
After a moment of hesitation you uncovered your face, looking at the door again. It looked normal, you could still see the light shining through the gap under it, so you knew he wasn't standing there anymore.
Just then, you heard a weird splashing sound, as you looked to the side you saw something dripping down from the small vent located next to the ceiling.
“What the hell?” You mumbled to yourself, slowly sitting up in the bed, moving the blanket aside.
As you stepped closer, you saw a small puddle of the weird liquid forming on your carpet. It looked weird, almost white but with a hint of something warmer, wait-
The liquid stirred slightly before Mahito's face slowly formed in it. “Boo” He started to lift himself up, his body slowly forming back into its usual shape. “You should clean up in these vents sometimes, I got myself all dirty.” He made a show of dusting his skin off, (he didn't have any clothes on because they didn't transfigure with him).
You took a few steps back, almost tripping and falling down. You knew he could shapeshift, but watching him literally liquefy himself and crawl through the vents was kinda unsettling.
That is until you remembered that you were still mad at him. “Hey, didn't I tell you to stay out?!” You crossed your arms, still glaring at him.
He lifted both his hands in a defensive gesture. “I apologized, okay? You should know better than to leave pizza unsupervised-”
He was going to continue but he was interrupted as you threw a pillow at his face. “What are you, a damn dog?!” You threw another pillow at him but he managed to dodge out of the way. “I shouldn’t have to tell you not to-”
Your rage was interrupted as he spoke “I ordered more.” He continued to back away in case you found some other things to throw.
“What?” You stopped midthrow, slowly setting the third pillow down (yeah, you did have a shit ton of different pillows, not important now). “You ordered pizza?”
“Yeah, even got you double cheese, it should be here soon.” He stopped backing away, looking slightly hopeful. “So, we good now?”
“Nah, not yet.” He raised an eyebrow before the third pillow hit him straight in the face. "Okay, we're even now."
