Summary
Hoppered was not a good man, but he knew a stubborn one from a mile off. "Ericks" as Hoppered called him certainly fit the bill, having been beaten-to-hell and still on the mend a month or so out. His pink skin was awash in scars and machinery, and his blue eyes saw only the hell he'd crawled out of.
Hoppered saw a great deal more, and said nothing of it. He knew what it felt like to be stared at and pitied.
