   There was a dull, throbbing pain in the back of his head, as if he had been bashed in the skull with a tire iron (which, now that he thought about it, that's probably not too far off from what actually happened). His head hurt, his eyes hurt, his chest hurt, everything fucking hurt. And he could do nothing about it except sit in it and try to figure out a way to escape. He groaned.
