Creek - Tangled!AU

Summary:

This fanfiction is basically a Creek Alternative Universe of the disney movie "Tangled"
Tweek is Rapunzel and Craig is Flynn/Eugene

---

“This is the story of how I died”, Craig said in an acerbic way, but he cuts it out before continuing talking. “Actually, it’s not exactly about that, but it is still intriguing! This story is about a blonde boy. A very special one. And his name.. His name is Tweek.”

The story begins with the sun, being more specific: A teardrop made of a sunshine’s ray. One that had its way to land it on earth, a very bright one. Which happened to sprout a one of a kind flower. This flower was as golden as it could be, and the most important part is that it would have been considered as “magic”. And that’s because that same flower was capable of curing a big amount of sickness and unhealthy matters.

Chapter 1: Kidnapped Blonde Prince With Magical Hair

Chapter Text

— Oh, and something important to know is that there is an old lady that has always been around that area where that flower had been blossoming. Will get back to it in a second.

Later on, it was established close to that area, a new kingdom. It was nice, the weather was always great and  the village seemed well cleaned and colored. And of course, this kingdom had to have a nice royal family. The royals were pretty much adored by everyone. Even more when they heard that the queen was pregnant.

The good news was that the baby was growing well, but the unhappy part was that it had been draining lots of the queen’s health. She looked pretty much depleted and weak, all her light was getting off her warm body.

Then, the king had to call the most amazing specialists to know what to do. For not only saving his wife but also saving the baby, since they were probably in a death-life situation. Everyone was starting to feel anxious about the health of that family, and they were pretty much in solidarity with the king. He was advised to send troops to look after this rare flower, as the specialists told him to look after it.

“Your majesty… I believe that there is a way to save them.”

Please, just tell me what is your thought..”,  King Richard asked in a miserable voice. Whatever you say, I will look after it and try to save my family.”

There is this tale, that I might not know if it's true. But, some years ago, the sun gifted our area with a flower,’’ He told the king while trying to remember it right. A flower that could probably save their life. If you send people to look after it in a very specific area of the forest nearby, I am sure they will be able to bring it here. And if that’s so, I would be able to save them. What do you think, your majesty?

"Seems like a safe option”, He beckons to the soldiers behind him with a serious face. “Go research the territory and only come back if you find something about it.”

The forces really tried looking after it. And it was very difficult, since the previous old lady that I had mentioned. — Most known as Mother Liane. — Was trying to covet the benefits just for her. She would have hid it as much as she could. Because that flower had brought her, for a really long time, the benefit of restoring to a youthful appearence of herself.

“Before anyone asks me how that worked. I have the answer!”, Craig prattling tries to explain what he knew. “ Basically, all Mother Liane had to do to achieve that magical transformation was singing a soothing song to the flower. It was basically a spell song, which would instantly activate the ultimate restorative power. It was visually noticeable the transformation when looking at its petals. They would instantly glow hard and it would really remember its origin. But I believed not everyone knew about that certain spell.”

The witch, when alone with the youthful fount, would gesture her hands close to the petals. And it seemed like she was able to bring the magical air close to her. Because she would, in a minute, stop being that old hag and would transform into a much younger woman. Afraid of being followed and losing her precious possession, she would always visit there wearing a big black cape with a hood that would cover her face.

She would bring herself closer to it and would start, finally, to sing her special song:

“Flower, gleam and glow

Let your power shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fates' design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine

What once was mine"

By the time she was singing it, the soldiers were that day researching for it. Mother Liane would have to be quick if she wanted to keep that to herself. As soon as she finished the spell, she would have covered it with a fake bush and would start to run away from that area. But unfortunately for her, she would accidently let it a bit uncovered and the flower was still glowing in that dark forest valley. Which was necessary for the troops to find it quick. They would have taken the flower’s whole anatomy together to the castle, they wouldn't have taken it out of earth that it was found on, so they even got the roots of it.

They brought it directly to the king and the master of healing, the one that suggested that. The healer would give the King the instructions to achieve what he wanted in one hundred percent result, as aspected.

The king would get a clean cup, then he would take the flower from its structure and put it in the crystal water, as if it was tea. Then with all settled and done, he would go close to his wife and would bring the cup close to her mouth. Asking with eyes full of hope and trust, for her to drink it.

“Helen, I have done my research. This will bring you and the baby back to a safe state of health”, Richard said with a calm and distressed voice. Almost as his eyes were teary. Waiting for her positive head sign to bring it close to her lips. “Everything will be alright, it will bring you back safe and sound. It is a gift from the sky, more specifically, from the sun.”

In seconds, the queen brightened her smile and started to carefully swallow the drink which was pollinated by the magical flower. The queen that was looking terribly ill started to get her life’s flame again, she was back to her sweet and strong nature. A good sign about this magical opportunity was that it was really working. The king held his wife's hand and began to kiss, not only her teary cheeks but also the belly that was caring for the baby.

After that, time seemed to fly by very quickly. And it was finally born, the son of the royal family. His hair was not like other blondes to be found, it was pretty much like the sun. It was a yellowish golden gamboge color.

The newborn baby was almost the representation of Apollo's, the Greek sun god. The hair had some of their locks in a way that it seemed like sun rays. Which would be actually seen as cute and breath taking, even if as well it seemed like it was kind of “messy”. It really assembled like a gift from the sky. The baby’s eyes were in a spectrum between the color green and the color blue naivy like most days had its skies.

He was very beloved by his parents, they called him a miracle. Almost like he would have been baptized by the sun, something for them to like him even more. And he was so much cared about, that it was decided by the king and queen to give him a special ceremony.

A ceremony that would have called everyone in that kingdom to look outside their windows to see the floating light with the symbol of the kingdom, which pretty much seemed like the flower that saved that family’s life. It was a pretty action of the family to show the village of their kingdom. It was a way to announce that the birth occurred very successfully.

The baby blonde laughed pretty much with all the attention and interaction it had. He would be called “sunshine” almost every time and would be found most of the time babbling and shaking himself as if asking to be handled or such. He was an easy baby, he would cry a bit for in a second be back to sleep.

But, the day that would be changing the whole story has arrived. Not much after the prince’s born day, Mother Liane would have to find her way to get to her “flower benefits”. Somehow, she found a way to enter the room’s balcony and was able to get close enough to the baby. She would try singing her spell once more and now, the baby’s hair started to lighten up to an amazing golden color. She felt on her skin the power of youth getting back to her. That felt like a relief.

She would have to act fast. She didn't want to get the baby for herself, babies are too much to handle. But while she was singing it like it was a lullaby, she tried to cut a piece of it while that, just one little lock.

“Flower, gleam and glow

Let your power shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fates' design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine

What once was mine”

Her plan was smart, but sadly for her, when cutted the hair, it would get back to a not even blond color. It would turn to a brownish color, as a dead hazel. Not a good sign, she had even gasped about that.

She breathed in and out, she had to act fast before the royals would notice her silhouette at their child’s cradle. Rolling her eyes, she gets the child settled in her arms and would have worn her cape with the hood. Unfortunately, her moves would have scared the baby boy, who would have been woken up and suddenly started to cry for the whole room to listen.

The royals would have been awake from their bestess dreams to finally reach out their views to what was happening. They saw that old lady wearing large dark clothes, sitting on the balcony and prepared to jump to never be seen again, with their boy in her two arms.

King Richard tried to reach them, but that witch was at a much faster speed. Little did he know that not even the guards would have been able to track her in that kingdom. It seemed as if the son of that kingdom was nowhere to be found. That was not exactly right nor wrong.

What happened was that Liane took the blonde boy to a secret place at the forest, a specific part of that forest, which was pretty much never accessed by people of that kingdom. Liane would have made a pretty tall tower. Probably with the idea of making it big enough to trap and let that boy grow up in that place to be called “his whole world”.

“To keep the child safe from a dangerous world.”, Or like Craig liked to adapt it with his own words, “Just to keep that same child away from the truth. Keeping that child as a stolen secret.”

The child shall grow on that tower, considering her as his mother. Liane would have found that boy, her new magical flower, and wouldn't let anyone get in her way this time. But something that he never understood was that need that his so-called “Mother” would have by asking him to sit down so she could brush his hair while singing that now lullaby. Curious like every other kid, he would constantly ask why he couldn't visit the outside world. And she would briefly answer it.

“Flower, gleam and glow

Let your power shine

Make the clock reverse

Bring back what once was mine

Heal what has been hurt

Change the fates' design

Save what has been lost

Bring back what once was mine

What once was mine”

“This world is filled with backstabbying people, grotesque and dangerous humans. I want you here. A place where you can be secured from those bad sins of the world”, Mother Liane would say to Tweek. Mother would always answer that way with a serious voice. And she would always try to scare that paranoid boy away from those questions. That was the way she found to keep him from that certain theme. She would as well always double check if he was understanding how her words mattered. “Tweek, do you understand it?”

Yes..”, There was always a sad melancholic sigh coming off of the blonde boy’s when he had to answer it. “Yes, Mother… I really do understand it, Mother.”

A very important detail about that tower was that it didn't hide all the things from the outside world. So, when Mother was already asleep, he would constantly wake up at midnight of his birthday and go to the only entrance, the center window. With careful moves, he would accomplish it, so he would get there and look at the average dark sky. What he didn’t know was that the sky would be followed by amazing faraway millions of floating lights on his birthday, specifically, because that action brought out the hopes of the king and queen up to meet again the missing prince. As if it made a path throughout the skies to bring their son back to their arms.

Tweek was always checking the sky on his birthday, with amazed shocked eyes through it towards the sky. He would casually place both crossed arms at the window’s frame. And, when feeling secured, he would place down his head in them, as if it was almost like a pillow. The boy wasn’t able to stop looking at the horizon beyond his eyes. His smile was kind, genuine and hopeful. He would always act like that, with pure joy, when he got to enjoy that view. Oh, how he wished to, one day, finally be able to watch that glowing show from a near distance. He couldn’t waste more time than what he had already lost when dreaming of it, that’s what Tweek always thought.
