As Miles left the shower, he still felt unclean, though it was no longer because of his encounter with Blackheart.
"I don't want to be the Black Spider-Man" he said aloud as he got dressed into civilian clothes, setting his Spider-Suit aside to sew later. Ganke frowned.
"This is really getting to you, huh?"
"I saved the Avengers!" Miles replied, exasperated. "But, now, all people are gonna take away from it is that I'm not white, just because my costume got torn" he explained. "And it shouldn't matter, anyway! I'm just Spider-Man, the same as the other one"
"I think it's just excitement about feeling represented by a superhero"
"Yeah, well, it shouldn't matter" Miles grumbled. "Anyone can be behind the mask. That's nothing new. Besides, they already have Captain America"
"I'm sorry this is getting to you" Ganke said softly, getting up and kissing the other boy on the forehead. "For the record, you're still just Spider-Man to me"
"Thank you, Ganke" Miles allowed himself a small smile, which Ganke echoed.
"No need"
