“I can’t believe Mikey actually talked us into this.” Raph groaned, his face twisted with a grouchy look and his arms crossed. His voice broke the silence and his legs had the urge to do something instead of just standing for god knows how long. Leo put a hand on his shoulder, “I’m sure Mikey will be done any minute now, right Mikey?” He asked, a small smile etched on his face, Mikey looked up at his three brothers. Donnie looked tired and neutral, to say the least, while Raph looked like he wanted to break something, do something. And surprisingly he actually stayed.
Mikey smiled, looking up from his canvas and gazing at Leo, “Relaaaax, I’m almost done, and Raph you have to smile bro!” He returned to stroking a few different shades of greens on Leo’s skin including the shading. “Also, you might wanna return to your original poses dudes.” Raph groaned. Leo removed his hand from Raph’s shoulder and returned to his position. Earlier on that day he was trying to fix Leo’s poses, because knowing Leo he would have the worst positions, always posing with his Katana’s or having the posture of a grandpa. So Mikey had to teach Leo on how to make him cool.
Leo failed at that, which was a surprise, he didn’t fail often, but it wasn’t surprising that Leo had stuck to his old grandpa ways instead of moving with the generations. Mikey managed to get Leo to strike a position that made him look intriguing enough. Leo had his hand on his hip and leaning to the left to make it look like he was talking or facing Raph. The smiling part was optional for Leo, either a faint smile or nothing really. As long as he looked like he was having fun or okay then that mattered. The same didn’t stick with Raph and Donnie.
Much to Raph’s own torture he had to grin. Now as much as he did smile, doing something as boring as posing and being forced to smile was painful. Raph turned to look at Leo, his lips tilted to the left with an unpleasant look. His face gave it all, he did not wanna do this at all. Leo smirked a bit and chuckled, “What’s the matter Raph? I thought you were having fun.” Raph kicked Leo’s shin, “Ow! Okay, okay, I was just playing with you.” Raphael scoffed, rolling his eyes before staring at Mikey, “Is us standing all day really necessary?”
Mikey beamed and his eyes sparkled with mischief, “Keep complaining and I’m painting you as an evil man~” Donnie sighed and chimed in, “Raph does have a point Mikey, you have like, a thousand pictures of us on your T-phone. Why didn’t you use those pictures to draw us?” Mikey snickered and rolled his eyes, “Dude, the traditional way is the best way!” Leo looked at both Donnie and Raph before actually speaking, “I mean, we have been standing here for one or two hours Mikey, and I would rather do anything than this.” Mikey dipped the brush into a blue shade, his eyes never meeting theirs.
“Like watching Space Heroes?" Leo’s eyes grew big, his small grin switched to something huge almost taking up his whole face, “Yes! Exactly that!” It took everything for Leo to not squirm in his spot, “I still don’t get what you like about that show.” Now it was Raph’s turn to speak, ruining the mood on the spot. Leo gasped dramatically, his voice laced with “hurt”. “Well excuse you Raph, it’s not my fault you don’t understand the actual meaning of amazing.” Donnie sighed and facepalmed, his brown eyes trailing to the back of the canvas. “It better be good Mikey, because I have so many things to work o-”
“Gee you guys really are going to ruin the good mood, we're having fun-” “We or just you?” Donnie put his hands on his hips, his foot tapping into a rhythm. Mikey hummed, “I’m almost done, just need Raph,” Raph’s name was spoken intensely, making the green eyed fellow look at Mikey, “-to smile.” Raph’s hands ran down his face and he gazed up, he groaned, “Mikey, I swear I will-” Interrupting Raph, Leo put a hand over his mouth, “Just be quick Mikey, please?” The orange masked turtle pointed at Leo and he winked, “Aye aye captain!” Leo twinkled, looking amused to say the least.
After minutes, hours, of complaining from the three Mikey finally pushed the brush aside. “Are you done?” Mikey looked back and forth at the painting and his brothers, “Yup! Just need to let it dry!” “Finally,” Donnie stretched, Raph almost immediately left the Dojo, almost at the speed of light if it was possible. “Guess he had a fun time, huh?” Mikey giggled, nudging Leo’s shoulder with his to which Leo laughed, “Eh, you know how Raph is.” Donnie had already entered the kitchen to get water, he wasn’t sure if Mikey would let them get something since he had already stolen his computer.
Though they never asked, he might’ve drained himself for no reason. The sound of Leo and Mikey entering the kitchen caught his attention. “Alright, alright, I can make it up to you guys by telling me, what do you guys want for dinner?” Mikey laughed and Don couldn’t tell if it was to cover his evil plans or not. “For you not to paint us for sure,” Ah, Donnie and his sarcasm. “Ugh, come one! I didn’t take that long!” Mikey slumped forward, Donnie nudged him on the shoulder, “is five hours not long enough?” Mikey’s finger stuck out and tapped his chin, his eyes looking towards the ceiling, “hmmmm, not my fault you guys kept moving and complaining.”
“I’m sure Mikey had his reasons,” Leo interfered, going his way to sit on the stool, but before he could Raph came in with Chompy on his shoulder. “Yeah, well they better be good because not one person here would wanna stay still for five hours.” Mikey hummed, “Ima go check it out now!” He leaped over the table and headed to the dojo. “Who wants to bet that Mikey didn’t actually draw us?” Groans filled the kitchen, “C’mon Raph, Mikey can’t really sit still for five hours so that’s hard to believe,” Donnie leaned on the counter staring at Raph.
Mikey brought back a large canvas from the dojo about two minutes later, it was covered in a green cloth, before Mikey swept it off. Turning over the canvas so his brothers could see the final product. It was a detailed realistic picture of them. Though something was changed, instead of them being drawn like their original stances, Mikey had altered them to look more comfortable. They looked more real and excited than simply standing and looking formal. As said, realistic. In both ways. The older brothers looked…who knows. Emotions swirled through those eyes; their jaws dropped before someone actually spoke.
“Gee Mikey, you weren’t kiddin’ when ya said ya can draw.” Thank you, Raph. Mikey simply nodded before setting it down. “I’m still thinking about drawing you as Captain Ryan-” “You wouldn’t dare.” Leo raised his nonexistent eyebrow, “Where are you Mikey?” Mikey looked at the picture before taking a pen and going towards the drawing. Scribbling a little Mikey in the corner, this time in a cartoonish way. “There! Now I’m in!” Donnie looked at the picture before tilting his head, “You look like a ten year old drew you compared to us, shell brain.” Mikey rolled his eyes playfully, “I dunno how to draw myself realistically yo!”
“Well, I still say that this was a waste of time,” Raph grumbled, crossing his arms, obviously trying to cover his amazement by looking annoyed. He cracked his knuckles, “So, what do we do with the canvas?”

The canvas was hung in the dojo, the painting just above the shrine. Leo brushed his hands together, “Thanks for the nails, Don.” Donnie simply nodded, his eyes only on the mutagen tracker, “I’ve gotten a signal not too far from here, and it seems like the Kraang are already headed there!” Raph smirked, his arms still crossed and fists ready to punch, “well let's go bust some Kraang already,” and to Raph’s own amusement Leo said nothing. As said, the brothers left the dojo, walking over to the exit of the lair. “Oh, and Mikey, maybe we should draw you next time.”
Leo suggested, to which Mikey giggled for a moment, “dude, as long as it doesn’t have me sitting for five hours or more then sure!” Raph wrapped an arm around Mikey’s shoulder, pulling him closer, “Of course not little brother, you’ll be standing.”
