"He's catatonic," the doctor whispered, flipping through a clipboard of chemical imbalances. "He isn't reacting to the staff. He isn't reacting to the medication. We need a tether. Someone he has a deep, perhaps even volatile, history with. Someone who can force a response out of him."
Builderman looked at his own reflection. He knew he couldn't do it. He represented the "Good Old Days," and looking at him only made Shedletsky sink deeper into the shame of what he’d become.
He needed a mirror. A dark one.
"I have a name," Builderman said, his voice hollow.
"But you aren't going to like it."
