Summary
Tension still exists even after El agrees to come back to Hawkins with Max. In the two story cabin, surrounded by snow, the smell of spruce burning and the slowly disappearance of the Northern Lights, the two women are alone with this churning feeling.
Max stands by the fireplace, El distracts herself in the kitchen, with the fireplace being the only thing that burns hotter than either women's love for each other. While Max continues the argument, El flirts with her, and their dynamic that they've known for many years up to that point, completely changes.
