    You hesitantly peeked down through the branches and saw Perrin standing below, looking up at you with a mix of curiosity and concern. Meanwhile, the so-called terror of your morning was now curled up at Perrin’s feet, contentedly scratching itself against his leg. The barking had stopped. You hadn’t even noticed.

    “H-hey…”

    “What are you doing up there?” Perrin asked, confused.

    “Enjoying the view?” You reply sheepishly as you mentally kick yourself in the gut for letting him see you like this.

    He notices me flinch as the wolf starts excitedly barking again, his gaze softening as if completely in tune with your emotions.
