Some things don't seem to change, they only pop up rearranged

Summary:

The world on Earth–91834552 was... vastly different from the world in Earth–616. It was so... 50s and 60s like, that it creeped everyone in the X-Mansion out. Little did they know, they'd be becoming quite close to that universe soon...

Notes:

Chapter Text

CRRRRASHHHH!!

Penelope crashed into the building, her spine contorting in inhuman ways and blood instantly pouring its way out of her back. She let out a scream, then another, then another. Her screams finally stopped when the blood reached her outstretched and severed leg, 3 inches just too far from her. Her lips blued, the light in her eyes faded, and the shouts and agonizing screams of her friends faded into the background.

"Hey, hey, you're okay. Pen, you're okay." She vaguely heard her boyfriend, Ox, speak to her. She felt her vision tunneling to a pinpoint, focused on the darkness of his black skin, a feature she always found attractive. She still found it attractive, even as she was actively dying.

"Mrph...frgg..." She tried to call out to him, but his warm finger grazed her lip gently and relaxed on it. "Shh... you don't have to speak, c'mon, we need to go. Nightingale's got this mission. She's in the sky." Penelope's vision went black as he grabbed a stretcher and put her on the stretcher with her severed leg.
