Chapter Text
The day went on as usual, Crowley lounging in Aziraphale's bookshop, taking a day off while the rain speaks for itself. Aziraphale sorted out some special edition books, he wondered why he never got the time to. Maybe it was because he somehow stopped Armageddon with Crowley.
"Angel." He stopped what he was doing and turned around to hear what Crowley has to say. He was still holding 4 or 5 books of Pride & Prejudice and some others. "Yes, Crowley?"
"If I was sent somewhere else instead of ruining Job's life, would you still look for me?" Crowley's eyes didn't twitch, it was still, waiting for an answer from the angel's mouth. He left his glasses on the table, plus his Bently, the devil wanted to spend time with the angel, after the whole adventure and absence of making him worried.
"Oh u-uhm, well-uhh, I've never thought about it, Crowley. Could you give me some time to think, just about a few seconds?" Crowley gasped internally but nodded anyway. Aziraphale placed the books on his desk and paced around the room. "Well-uhh, let's see-hmmm." The angel paused, then stared back at Crowley. "Of course I would, my dear. Why wouldn't I?" Crowley grinned, thankful for the answer, yet a bit disappointed.
Hours went by, and Crowley had to go back to his abode. "Call if you need me, angel." He leaned over at the door stand, still gazing into Aziraphale's eyes, god it is captivating to the core. "Good night!" And soon he vanished to his car, driving away to the dark glistening sky up above. Aziraphale plopped to his chair, tired of today's work, even though not many people come to his shop a lot. He opened the drawer and started writing today's journal.

Dear diary,
The year has been a very thrilling adventure, learning that the Anti-Christ was accidently swapped when young, my life turning into a jump rope of me switching bodies with my dear friend Crowley, and stopping Armageddon in one week. Surely I should be tired at about now.
Anyhow, I wish that Crowley hadn't taken that ghastly alcohol to his desire because of me, I would hate for me just seeing him roll down the floor, whining like there's no tomorrow, it's unexplainable.
Hopefully it would come true,
Aziraphale.

He closed up the book and went upstairs to go to bed. Normally he wouldn't but that's just basic humanly needs.

The next day shone brightly through the windows, which woke Aziraphale up unexpectedly. He went down the staircase and noticed a letter on his desk. Although Heaven would've just told him in person, they sent a letter instead. It shouldn't have been Gabriel, he knew he wasn't a letter guy, maybe it was Muriel or some others. To Aziraphale, from the Metatron. Hmmm, from the Metatron? ..............................................................................................................................................
My dear angel, the lord has in need of you to do an assignment. Unfortunately, the other angels are quite busy with other tasks, so you are the only one available. The assignment I need you to do is to keep watch over a special child, I will give you the description on how to find him soon plus on where to find him.
Do you remember Hogwarts? That school that God has given people magic? I need you to go undercover and keep watch over that child, the humans don't know what we're doing so if you get caught, we will leave you to your will, they can't know about us.
...............................................................................................................................................
Hogwarts, that name ring a bell. But he wasn't familiar with all those wizards and witches, those people with magic that God gave them for no particular reason. Why on earth would God give magic to humans even though the angels could do ten times better than what they can do. And also, they got that magic in incantations, in Latin! That doesn't make sense at all.
Aziraphale pondered a bit, a solo mission? By himself? Maybe not, he probably needs help from a particular someone to aide him. (He looks over to the telephone)
He quickly dialed Crowley's number, which Crowley answered immediately. "Angel, what's going on? It's a Saturday and you're calling me at the break of dawn. What happened?" The other line was fascinated by the response. "Nothing, Crowley. I just need you to come over to the bookshop-", "Coming right now." The call ended by Crowley, leaving Aziraphale stunned.
The Bently roared like thunder then stopped, the door slammed with precision then closed. "What is it, Azi? Cause it better not be something bad." Aziraphale held the letter and gave it to him, upon reading it he grimaced at the next paragraph. "Oh, really? Another child to care for?" He nodded.
"Since the Metatron sent me for a solo mission, I have no other angels to be by my side, so-"
"So you want me to be with you?"
"Yes, now don't interrupt me."
Crowley dropped the letter on the table, body already on the couch. "I can't believe we're doing this again. I thought we're through with the whole children thing, so messed up." His hand was on his face, stretching down to rest on the chest. "Has he given you another letter yet?" Aziraphale shook his head. "I think I'm about to, in three, two, one."
The door opened, revealing a white dove with a letter on its leg. Aziraphale took the letter and untied it.
"Let's go to your car." He pranced through the bookshop and stood next to Crowley's Bently. Crowley followed him the second after, shocked by the sudden statement. "What do you mean, we're going into my Bently? I didn't say yes, what makes you think you could drive her?" Aziraphale smiled at him and went in the driver's seat. "Hey, you can't-"
"I absolutely can, Crowley. Now if you want to come with me, you can, I've got Maggie to help take care of the bookshop while I'm gone. If you want to stay behind with Maggie-"
"No, no I'll come with you." He went to the passenger seat; face fumbled with stubbornness. "But be careful to her, she doesn't like people except me." Aziraphale scoffed and denied. "Nonsense, she'll definitely like me." He smoothed his hands on the steering wheel, amazed by the leathery feeling.
The Bently drove peacefully amidst the lonely weekend road. "Might I ask, where are we going exactly?" The angel took a look at the letter and answered. "Kings Cross." Crowley's raised his brow in shock. "Kings Cross-that's so far away!" He nodded. "That's why we are using our car."
"Wha-our car? It's-"
"Our car, dear." Aziraphale touched his seat and thought it would make her rest assured. But something else was happening, he saw Crowley feeling uneasy and pursing his lips. "Is something wrong, Crowley?" He stopped the car.
"Just drive."
