In the Great Hall, Draco watches Harry like a hawk. Everyone thinks Harry is a perfect saint, but Draco knows it is all a lie. He thinks Harry is just a try-hard who is addicted to being the hero. Draco keeps picking fights because he is desperate for Harry to look at him, but also because he wants to find the cracks in Harry’s fake personality.
When they are finally trapped alone in a dark hallway, the acting stops. Without people around to cheer for him, Harry starts to fall apart. Draco’s insults actually start to effect him in the way he never expected. Under his pressure he starts to fold and we see that everything he does is an act.
PS. if you don't like smut its okay! its only a few chapters and you can skip ofc! wont change the story!
