I’ve been a fan of these reality shows going all the way back to that madman’s attempt at torturing teenagers, but it took until now before I decided to throw my hat in the ring. These young people are going to think I’m a hindrance, that my old age is holding me back… BAH! Miriam still won this game and does not get nearly enough respect for that. Who caused the collapse of my alliance and me to finish 12th despite having a four-to-three majority… I’m over it. Maybe. No, no I’m not over it. But hey, I learned from my failure and I promise not be as gullible this time!”
“I can’t say I expected to be cast as a Favorite, especially after being cut from All-Stars. May have been for the best given my crush was on the cast… but now I’m a new man! “Ara Kwon, a 21-year-old business student and Disventure Camp’s next and most beautiful winner.” Ara smirks, her hand folded slightly over in front of her. “Unlike some of these babies who’ve played in the past, I’m here to do whatever it takes to win. I always get what I want, and I want that million. The previous winners of this show? Please. We have the fossil, the ego-fueled romance, the psychotic bitch, and Sir Flips a Lot. I think it’s time we get someone fabulous in the winner's circle.
“I’ve been fighting tooth and nail in a world that doesn’t want me to succeed, and I’ve learned to play dirty. You could call it my hobby even. It’s soooo much fun to just dive in and do things without worrying about if its the correct or morally right thing to do. The more people tell me not to do something, the more I want to do it. I’m a spiteful bitch and I’m not afraid to admit it. So if anyone dares to whine about being good or bad to me, I’m sending them on a one way trip off the island. I’m simply me. “Bet you didn’t expect to see me back?” Riya smirks at the camera, raising her shades to her forehead. “Riya Sharma, thirty-three years old and the winner of Disventure Camp All-Stars after just barely failing in season 2. I won the money, the fame, I became the villainess of TV and a rising star in Hollywood. But… I lost everything. Everyone. Being alone at the top was tolerable at first but its been two years now. Two years of only my closest family and only hollow fans who don’t care about me as a person. I don’t know if I can expect or even hope for forgiveness but…”
Tears start to run freely down Riya’s face as she hangs her head down. “I hate my life. Its empty elegance, and I’d give it up in a heartbeat to have some people back in it I care about. Connor, Rosa, Lake, everyone else… I’m here for redemption. I already won and don’t need to again, it wouldn’t fix the holes in my existence. I don’t know if anyone will treat me as human again and I can’t say I blame them. But I have to try. I have to get some light back in this awful and pointless life of mine. And if I have to sacrifice what I gained to find that happiness… then so be it.”
