The room is very dark and the only light illuminating Edgeworth is the small overhead light above his desk. Edgeworth seems to be writing on important paperwork with his pen that dawns a steel samurai topper, he’s drinking some tea, but you can see that he is noticeably very tired.
Edgeworth begins to mumble, “eh what?, no thats uh notuh no, why would they word it like that?”
After a few moments of him mumbling, Phoenix starts to come to after he was sleeping.
”nghh, uhg, wh-what am i hearing?” Phoenix groans.
He squints over where the small light is shining on Edgeworth.
“Miles?, why are you up this late?”
“Oh uh Wright, you can go back to sleep, I’m just doing paperwork.” Edgeworth replies tiredly.
“Okay??”
Phoenix sits up in the bed fully and he starts thinking. Okay I can't sleep anymore now cause’ that light is going into my eyes. So I guess I’ll just stay awake now.
Edgeworth looks over at Phoenix. “Do you want some of my tea, Wright?, you want any?” He asks.
“Nah, you can keep it. I’m just gonna sit here or somethin’” Phoenix replies, tiredness still sounding through his voice.
A few seconds after Phoenix speaks, Trucy opens the door slightly to then see the two men awake as for they are not asleep.
“What are you guys doing?, you’re being kinda loud I can hear you talking in here.”
Trucy raises her eyebrow.
”Trucy?, what are you doing up?” Edgeworth asks.
Phoenix chimes in as well. “Yeah, you’re supposed to be in bed.”
Trucy folds her arms, “I was practicing for my next magic show.” She tilts her head and closes her eyes. “What are you doing up?”
“Nothing, nothing, I was just doing some important paperwork.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be in bed?” Trucy stated matter-of-factly.
Edgeworth responds, “Yes.”
“Good!, I’m gonna go grab some water then I’m gonna go to bed, so you need to go to bed, okay?” She grabs the door handle.
”soo, see you in the morning!” Said while closing the door.
“Wright, I thought you told her to go to bed!, I thought you confirmed she was asleep!” Edgeworth raises his voice.
Phoenix retorts, “I did!, I did!, I don’t know what you want me to do Miles.”
Edgeworth already is over at the bed at this point, and is much closer to phoenix now and is glaring at him.
“Ah, uh, hmph, fine!, fine!, I will go to bed.” He stubbornly agrees. “Scoot back over.. give me the blanket. I need to fix it.” Phoenix hands it to Edgeworth. “Thank you.”
”Whatever Edgeworth,I’ll just go back to sleep then. I’m tired anyways.”
“Yes, me too, I’ve done enough paperwork for tonight.”
Then they start to go to sleep but Edgeworth hears something.
Honshoo hasoo honk shooo
“Guh!, stop snoring Phoenix!”
”Heyyy!, did you-jus- okay. As if you don’t breathe loudly.” Phoenix argues barely even awake.
”Woww, really phoenix. Well then we’ll see what happens tomorrow.” Edgeworth jokes, albeit his tone of voice at this time of night when Phoenix is half asleep sounds more like flirting than a threat.
“Heh, okayy, can’t wait for tomorrow.” Phoenix smirks.
”You’re not understanding what I’m insinuating at all are you?”
“Hehe, noope!” Phoenix giggles, and falls asleep.
“Oh, you’re so, so, stupid. But I married you, and you’re so stupid, but I guess that means, so am I.”
Edgeworth gives Phoenix a small peck on the cheek before he sleeps.
