It was bad enough that Ash was denied access from the Celadon gym. It became slightly better that Team Rocket was around to help Ash out.
Then it got bad again when Bri realized she’d have to wear a dress as well, to “look the part” or whatever Jessie said.
Did she not look like a girl? She had her long blonde hair, and eyelashes, and did her nails sometimes, and…
…wait that had nothing to do with her clothes. Which she would have to change out of, thankfully inside a stall. Not that it helped much. Unfortunately she knew she couldn’t stay in here forever (Ash still needed to earn his badge…but she thought Erika couldn’t refuse challengers from her gym-wait that’s not the point.) so she reluctantly started charging.
The dress didn’t look bad at all, she just didn’t want to wear it. It made her feel all weird and stuff.
She pulled the dress over her head and looked at herself in the mirror. Who was that? Bri Ketchum, obviously-but only in name. The dress felt itchy and really uncomfortable and can she put her clothes back on please? Why does she have to be put through this?
Jessie knocked on the stall door, making her jump. “Are you finished changing yet? Ash-er, Ashley-is ready.”
No, she wanted to say. “In a minute!” She called, trying to get on her shoes as fast as possible.

Back in the stall again for the same reason: a dress. At least this time she tried saying something to Iris before getting one shoved at her. This one had those puffed sleeves and…ugh. She doesn’t want to continue describing it.
”Come on, it won’t be that bad! You have to fit in with the other girls for a few hours or else they’ll kick you out. Remember what the blonde one said about our pokemon?”
She does, unfortunately. Accusing Emolga of attacking Cinccino and calling their pokemon unattractive…rude. Normally Bri wouldn’t care about this stuff, but her pokemon were insulted so she’ll go along with it…for now. No matter how much she wanted to rip the dress off
Like she’ll agree to that.
Hmm…perhaps Jessie is around here somewhere. She always has the best outfits after all. Maybe she can pick something else out that’s less…girly. She hung the dress up and opened the stall door, looking around. Iris must’ve wandered off to go check on the guys. Perfect.
She left the stall and wandered around, looking at the different outfits. These ladies knew their stuff. Unfortunately Bri wasn’t a fan of them or their stuff.
She did come across one of the girls wearing a suit though. She…did not know that was a thing you can do. Can she do that? Maybe she should ask Iris before-
“What are you doing?” Iris hissed in her ear. Where did she come from? “The guys are ready! Go put your dress on!”
She had enough restraint not to go back and shove it at her.

Third times a charm. At least Bri doesn’t mind what she’s wearing as much. It’s just the Nurse Joy outfit.
What she did mind was being forced to wear it.
”What’s wrong with my normal outfit?” Bri asked Serena through the stall door.
”Well, I figured we could match!”
”Like a trio!” Bonnie grinned, though Bri couldn’t see it, she could hear it in her voice.
Jessie would look good in a Nurse Joy outfit…that made her even less worthy of wearing one. Regardless she put it on anyway.
She opened the stall door and came out, heading out to the Pokémon Center lobby. She noticed Ash was there and Serena blushing for some reason so something probably happened.
Ash looked at her. “They got you to wear one too?”
”Majority vote.” Bri took that back she didn’t like this situation now. Other people were in here and they were probably staring at her. (When did it get so crowded?)
”But you look so cute in it though!” Bonnie came over and dragged her over to Serena. She clapped her hands. “Now let’s help these pokemon for Nurse Joy!”
Nope. She’s not doing nothing in this. She doesn’t feel right in this. She wants to take it off and it feels all itchy again can she scratch will that help can she take it off now? She’s pretty sure someone was talking but she wasn’t paying attention and she couldn’t breathe why couldn’t she breathe is she crying what is this too much noise-she shoved someone away and ran back into the stall and locked it.
After she calmed down she looked at her arms. Huh…seemed like she did scratch after all and ripped the sleeves of the outfit….whoops. But at least she can take it off now right?
