Work Text:

The clouds poured with endless bits of pearl-white snow, enough to spread over cities or even countries. It was the perfect opportunity for Dragon and Sixty to have their usual snowball fights, but the snow continued to rain on them as if a storm was forming. While watching the clouds continue to gush out heavy snow, Sixty puts together an idea that was probably one of the smartest in ages.

“Dude I don't think the snow is stopping anytime soon..” Sixty paused to take a breath that felt like pins and needles to his lungs. “Would you want to stay over until it blows over?”

Dragon took a bit to process the question, since the biting cold was burning his earlobes by now.

“If you want to, of course!” Sixty adds while frantically moving his hands out of panic. “I have no problem with you going home or anything! It's just freezing, not sure if you wanna go home like this, and the stor-”

Dragon let out a muffled chuckle from under his scarf before Sixty could finish whatever nonsense he started and put a hand to Sixty’s shoulder.

“You don’t gotta be nervous dude, Ive been over lots of times.” Dragon said as the cold continued to gnaw at his fingers. He definitely landed more snowballs on Sixty, but he was paying the price for it.

As Dragon walked into Sixty’s house, Sixty took a deep breath that was hung in the air as the ghost of warmth vanished instantly and sighed. He really hoped Dragon wouldn’t find him weird after this, especially after the few months he's been crushing on him. Sixty unhunched his shoulders and closed the door behind him, only to find Dragon already cuddled up on the couch with one of his blankets.

“Okay it wasn't THAT cold.” Sixty spit as he nudged Dragon.

“You have a jacket! I only got this black sweater… its nice but not really for the cold…”. It was difficult for Dragon to talk without slurring his words, Sixty was concerned that Dragon had some kind of frostbite. However, he saw it as the perfect chance to at least get something going, since he's been planning his first move for weeks now.

“Do you…. Uhm……” Sixty tried his best not to blush while getting the words out. “Mierda pero….”. All of the words he wanted to say just sounded wrong, and his chest grew tighter as he kept thinking about it.

“Do you want my jacket?!”

It definitely caught Dragon off guard, considering how they were just pelting each other with snowballs just a few minutes ago. It was a surprise too, since Dragon was also crushing on SIxty but never had the guts to say anything about it.

“If it doesn't bother you….” Dragon muttered out. “I’d love it, actually”.

SIxty thought he was going to have a heart attack. He was fully expecting Dragon to get up and leave. He felt his face flush with a darker blue color and he gave up the jacket and looked away in pure shame.

“Is it too big for you Drags? There’s always more jackets in the closet, or if you don't want a jacket at all that's cool too! Just…. Are you comfortable??” Sixty exclaimed while trying his hardest not to say something stupid.

“No, it's perfect!”. The nickname sent a warm shiver down Dragon’s spine. The jacket was actually a bit loose on him, but it was perfect for keeping him warm. Shortly after, Dragon pulled Sixty into a tight hug to thank him.

Sixty let out a short “Oh!” in surprise and instantly hugged Dragon back with no hesitation, melting into his touch but still feeling one of the melting snowballs on his jacket. Jeez, Dragon really got him good…

It only took a minute for the both of them to realize they weren't letting go. It wasn’t a problem for either of them, but they clearly had the same thing in mind. It was just an internal war to see who would spit it out first.

“Im glad you’re here, you know its kind of cheesy and all but I was a bit afraid to ask for you to come in. I think you're great company, perfect company even.” Sixty had to stop himself or else he would have been rambling on about Dragon for years.

Dragons curly hair slumped against Sixty’s shoulder as he shifted to get comfortable followed by a groan and a few incoherent words. He was clearly tired, but Sixty didn’t mind. He just wanted to make sure Dragon was comfortable, even if he was too melted to respond back. They spent the rest of the night cuddled together, with the storm long ended and the room being a perfect temperature for the summer.
