Chapter Text
Gamie stood at a bus stop on an empty road. The sun was shining extra bright that day, the kind of heat that made you want to stay home after all. Still, they had places to be, people to see, more specifically, Gamie was going to the city centre to meet with their two best friends, Ninna and Leo, so they could all go to summer camp all together.
They barely managed to get out of the house in time that morning, because their dad kept stealing. He cares... maybe too much at times.
The sun, ataking Gamies eyes stoped the thoughts of a fun summer camp trip as soon as they came, as Gamie stumbled back faling into the ditch just below them. Luckily, it was a dry one, unluckly gamie landed on something hard.
"Oww" - Gamie reached to find what they landed on "Man, that hurt"
picking up the item to reveal an old-looking pocket watch. "Who dropped this?" they comented a bit annoyed at whoever dropped this and therefore caused this pain, curse them.
wooa Gamie thought, holding up the item to examine it better, they stood rotating the piece of rather ancient tech as if it held all the world's answers. The watch still worked, for it showed the time read 09.19 am. In this moment, the kid realised that their bus was almost here.
"Oh crud, my bus!"Gamie gasped as they scrambled back up the ditch, hoping the bus hadn't come yet.
Noticing that it's just now pulling up, the kid breathes a sigh of relief.
gamie got on the bus, scanning their bus pass and taking a seat by the window.
they puled on their headphones and sat watching the scenery pass by as music played. 40 minutes had passed by the time they got to the city. climbing off the bus, Gamie looked around for a second before deciding to walk to the cafe they had planned to meet their friends at before going to camp.
They walked into the bustling shopping centre, Stokman. Finding the other two was much easier thanks to them looking like two highlighters in a batch of boring old pencils.
They were sitting at a table in the desighnated caffe in-between two other shops, a grocery store, and a beauty shop with escalators to the other floors of the shopping centre, right in the middle of it. The kid ran up to them, waving, and sat down on the free seat in the middle.
"Heya, G! Took ya long enough, Ninna quickly greeted. Hey gamie! Leo waved"
without waiting, the three then started to launch into their own little story times of the past few weeks of their lives as if they hadn't met in months.
20 minutes later
"But the sun decided t'be a bully an went nearly blinding me! Tho I realised the light was reflecting off sumthin in the ditch below-
"I found this pocket watch thing," gamie stated, showing off the watch to the other two. It was a rusted-over colour with golden undertones, with some interesting symbols carved on the sides.
"ah yes, the shiny thing method, glad the sun wasn't an accomplice to someone trying to kidnap you", Leo commented
"Oi! I could have fought off anyone who'd try ta kidnap me!" Gamie retorts back
"Anyway, I wanted to see if there's a picture in this thingie", they voiced as they started to fiddle with the latch on the side of the clock
"aha got it open!" Gamie exclaimed.
A bright flashing light started to shine from the item, nearly blinding the tree and anyone in a 1 metre radius from them.
The three instinctively moved to shield their eyes. not noticing a wormhole the size of a doorway open just in front of them.
They felt pulled forward, and all crashed into what felt like a wall.
When they recovered from the very graceful fall
{as graceful as a pigeon}
As they opened their eyes, they could see that they were no longer in the same place as before.
no this room wasn't warm lights hanging above, this wasn't comfy chairs and too small tables with the smell of coffee in the air and the sounds of disgruntled shopers narowley avoiding bumping into each other as they drag their feet.
This place was dark, quiet, a single white light above that wasn't even on; this place was sterile and cold, the only noticeable smell being the faint leftover smell of gun powder. The only other things in this room, other than them was huge metal and wood boxes, some with strange symbols carved on the sides.
"Watjusthapend" Leo muttered. holding his head from the fall
