"Honestly Its actually kind of funny he has not tried to kill any of you yet, powers or not" despite the fear of the uninvited guest all eyes turned to Titan in confusion.
"Uh... what's that supposed to mean?" honestly this statement made less sense to Monty that the mad rambling about Solar and Nebular. Titan giggled again, floating in a circle to face the pinned gator "Hmm hit your head a little going down Monty?" he jerked his head in the direction of his counterpart. Cosmos blinked, less offended and more bewildered at the notion that he would start killing members of his family.
Seriously this guy was a few cards short of a deck.
"Oh come now Cosmos, no need to be modest" Titan tutted "Remember I've had a peak inside your head so I know what you know and, more importantly, what you've had to put up with" his eyes flicked to the family with a look of disdain "I mean Moon I can forgive to a degree given the emotional crippling but, those "sessions"...." he tutted like a disappointed parent "And your supposed to be the smart one" from the floor Moon made a few muffled protests; his face currently pinned down with the dark power of the intruder.
"What's that Moon? Sorry I don't speak mumble" the demented double giggled again "Lay off freak" Solar hissed, not moving but, not ready to stand for his prone family member being insulted by this fun sized Nexus.
With a sharp crack Titan's head shifted up to Solar "My, Solar such passion in defence of one of your own" the tone was sickly sweet before turning cold "Wonder why Cosmos doesn't get that kind of love and loyalty when it matters" to his credit Solar did flinch a bit "I..." "Then again you were pretty insistent that Cosmos throw himself into the fire for you" nobody said anything now.
Not wanting to pick at that fresh wound has Titan glided around to stalk behind Cosmos.
"Has he even thanked you for what you did Cosmos? Giving up godhood, restricted and boring though it was?" he looked slyly back at the family "Have any of you really thanked him for half the things he's done for you?" any potential defence or answer was lost in a guilty and fearful silence. "Sure Cosmos had made plenty of mistakes.... Terra" venomous eyes went in the Earth model's direction. To her credit Terra stood defiant "Trying to turn us against each other will not work we...." "Be quite" the command was a soft whisper but, the impact was like a punch in the face; Terra stumbling back into the chair and clawing at her face.
"You son of a bitch leave her alone!" Monty was weakly thrashing under the weight of his own bindings "Or what? You'll throw me out of the house, leave me to fend for myself till I learn my lesson?" he gave a mock shiver along with a timid tremor in his tone before laughing again. "Leave them alone!" Titan's attention returned to Cosmos again "Still defending them even now... you are an odd one" he shrugged "Then again, I suppose you don't have much choice now with your powers locked up" Cosmos balled his fists "I said leave them alone" he kept his voice level despite the anger and fear vying for a seat at the table.
Titan chuckled softly, ruffling Cosmos hood like he was simply a child acting out.
"Cosmos, Cosmos no matter what you do, what you put up with they are not going to respect you or forgive you" his eyes slid back to Terra "Well, I guess Terra might have felt bad if the coin flip had gone the other way and the Astrals had decided to execute you for saving Solar" his attention turned to Solar again "I wonder how that would have changed the family dynamic hmm...." he words were cut off with a blur of motion; Cosmos also jumping back to avoid the fireball that Sun had lobbed at the dark being.
"Sun, what the hell?!" Cosmos did not doubt his brother's aim or intention but, dam if that had been a little close for comfort.
Sun stood defiant, hand raised and aimed at the dark creature's face in silent warning "You need to leave now" he bit out coldly. Titan chuckled "Ah there you are Sun" he twirled in the air "Funny you did not show this kind of fire when the Creator sent Jack to have a "chat" with Dazzle" another fire ball was dodged and caught as if it were little more than a bouncy ball. The flaming orb floating above Titan's outstretched hand like a lantern that was studied by Titan who looked back at Sun.
"Was this the the same level power you used on Nexus?" the dark variant grinned at the wince from Sun before looking back at Cosmos "Its funny he can put down that mad dog easy but, the Creator, even for a little while to get Jack back?" he shook he head with a tired chuckle "No, then its Cosmos do this, be a gown up and fix all our troubles" "Sh.." Cosmos's words were cut off by Titan getting up in his face; Sun's flames illuminating his in their shrinking light has the dark mirror fed on their power.
"Come now Cosmos you can be honest with me" the mock sincerity made Cosmos skin crawl "I've seen inside your head, I know how you think... how you feel" he looked back at the family with a chuckle "And while it has not happened yet.... well I'll be looking forward to you finally snapping one of these days and showing them how you really feel powers or not" he floated upwards "Just save me a front row seat for when it happens".
And with that he was gone.
