Chapter Text
The first time Hinata ever laid his eyes on Kageyama was his third year of middle school.
Naturally Kageyama fit in with everyone he was tall, kind, smart, pretty, handsome ECT.
Everything Hinata wasn’t.
Well almost everything.
Hinata was just as smart as Kageyama, he had perfect scores in every class, well except PE. Being un-athletic was Hinata’s weakness, he wasn’t strong he couldn’t run, he wasn’t tall, and he most certainly couldn’t fight.
Not being able to fight meant one thing.
Hinata was bullied by those stronger than him. Including Kageyama’s friends, though they bullied him Kageyama would never hurt him. He would always stand to the side and watch. Hinata thought Kageyama was kind for this, for not hurting him. He admired this part of Kageyama.
This admiration had soon turned into something more.
The day Hinata realized these feelings was a day he would never forget.
Hinata had been walking to his 5th period class which had been outside when he saw Kageyama. He had just gotten back from a run.
He looked beautiful, his hair was shiny in the spring sun, and his usually dark eyes seemed brighter than ever. Hinata’s face had turned bright red, he thought this boy was perfect.
Hinata had tried to shut these thoughts down quickly, he had always told himself he wasn’t allowed to like someone like this, they were complete opposites. The worst part of it all was Kageyama was a boy. Hinata had never experienced anything like this before, sure Kageyama had liked girls before but he has never liked anyone the way he liked Kageyama.
