"What did you just say to me Bender?"
Andy looked a mixture of angry and bemused. Maybe even scared.
Just what Bender had planned and expected.
"Are you deaf sporto? I said..."
Bender clasped his hands together, as if preparing for something important.
"...You. Are. Pretty. Sexy. When. You. Get. Angry."
That sentence took the best part of thirty seconds due to significant pauses in-between each word.
Andy didn't change his demeanor.
"I think I heard you the first time. Are you serious Bender? Are you really a fag?"
A look of faux-outrage appeared as an expression on Bender.
"Oh, I say. That is an outrageous assertion."
Brian was looking on, being faintly distracted by the sound of Allison jotting something down behind him.
Claire turned around to Bender at this point.
"Is it though? You just called Andy 'sexy'. Is it really such a stretch?"
Allison let out a not-too-subtle giggle.
Bender pointed towards her.
"See? She gets the unintentional pun you just made. But yes, it is a 'stretch'. I think I can put it best by quoting the late, great James Dean."
Andy rolled his eyes.
"One of your heroes and idols no doubt."
Bender did a shushing motion with his index finger.
"What he said was, no, I am not homosexual. But I also don't go through life with one hand tied behind my back."
Brian raised his eyebrows, and smiled, albeit making sure that no one else saw his smile by concealing it with both hands.
Andy had turned back around towards the front.
"Well, you are bisexual then. Congratulations. No problem with me. I just wish you wouldn't make harassing comments."
Bender's mouth turned into the wicked smile that everyone at Shermer High School knew so well.
"But, you are pretty sexy when you get angry."
