Chapter Text
White
That was what the entire planet saw before its surface burned away. All life within it vaporised down to the molecular level, leaving nothing but ash and embers. For once in the planet's lifespan, everything was still. Not a single current brought out the waves to slosh around empty beaches, nor was there even a whisper of the winds moving. Everything was frozen in place.
Three diamonds of three colours shone brightly on the stars and the cosmos. Blue. Yellow. White. They radiated and twinkled, like a heartbeat to the infinite universe. Yet, their presence was also a haunting sight, as it was they who had annihilated the surface of the planet.
The Diamonds.
God Matriarchs of the Gem Empire, an empire spanning the entire galaxy, conquering all and turning whatever minerals found on any planet into Gem super soldiers. Soldiers that were built to be cogs in a larger machine, listening and obeying any commands from their superiors without any hesitation. Some ordered the silence of entire civilisations, others ordered further colonisation.
And currently, that Empire had just lost a war. Its first war in their eyes, whereas all others had been nothing more than the squash of an insect. As there was no other force that could fight back but themselves.
An unforeseen rebellion had taken the life out of one of the four Diamond Matriarchs, and in one final move, not out of desperation, but out of pure anger and malice, the remaining three Diamonds unleashed all of their power. Whatever rebellion was burnt away into ashes, whatever life found on the planet, whatever life accidentally hooked into the uprising, all were wiped away from the echoes of time.
The planet was left to rot in abandonment afterwards. After all, it was merely a single stone amongst an infinite amount; there was no celebration, no finale, only an anti-climactic end for a rebellion and the planet itself...
.
No. Whilst the empire had simply abandoned it, an unexpected visitor had arrived. Stricken by the same bright light that vaporised the surface of the planet, a comet was now heading directly onto the planet. Even beyond the planet's surface, the entirety of the comet's surface was already burning a bright blue aura that shone brighter than any star, with even the fading glow of the Diamond Matriarchs now paled in comparison.
Yet, this was by no means any ordinary comet, as any form of ordinary space material would've been burnt away. This was a spaceship, its outer hull alight from the blast that had scorched the planet. Even in the void of space, it was already burning, and as it pierced through the very tips of the planet's atmosphere, the fireball only grew larger.
The flames around the ship expanded outwards by several hundred meters, shining in the dark night as if it were the middle of the day-
BOOM
The ship finally arrives on impact, the land around it erupting into a hot ball of plasma, before exploding in a cloud of brimstone and fire of incalculable proportions. The ground shuddered at the explosion, cracks forming on the surface that reached kilometres in length, forming vast ravines that reached down several hundred meters in depth.
The ship had been entrenched in the deepest ravine, where no light could enter, besides the extremely heated shell that glowed...
~
Days had passed as the ship had finally cooled, the outer shell becoming a reddish-black surface. All around, the material that used to be stone absorbed the previously smoking fumes of the heated shell, grey turning into black like a spread of some form of moss.
The main body of the ship was relatively intact from the outside, appearing almost spotless even from the catastrophic impact that reshaped the land.
Though unlike the body, the ship's wings did not receive the same protection. Skewered above the crash site were the eight identical wings, now hanging on several stone ridges, they were torn off from the impact, weakened by the approach and the intense heat.
SCHING
A blade suddenly exits the ship's body from the inside. Bright blue was the body of the blade, with a hue of dirty orange glowing around its edges, the surface burning away the air surrounding it. The blade carved through the metallic body like butter, the same material that seemed to have resisted an impact that had reformed the entire land around it. It only took a second, but from the seemingly unbreakable material, a glowing circle emerged. Another second later, that chunk of the ship was blasted to the other side of the ravine and sent away by a punch.
What limped out was an entity similar to the ship, as it was entirely covered in a dark reddish suit, though it was far more damaged than the ship itself. The figure itself stood on two feet, with an arm clenched onto its sides, and the other using the searing blade like a walking stick.
It was impaled by shrapnel, a part of the inner ship piercing its lower abdomen, skewering it through itself. Each step it took leaked out a bright orange substance, its own blood, clinging onto each plate of the dark red armour, wrapping around each indent of technological sigils and carvings, until eventually pooling onto the charred stone beneath.

"Orbitar." A voice suddenly called out to the limping figure, itself stopping as they. Just ahead of them was someone else, a woman in a pink dress and pink flowing hair, with a sword in one hand and a shield in the other, the latter depicting a rose flower.
"Pink... Diamond..."
