At a young age one is able to smell the pheromones of their fated mate, and if they listen close enough they can hear the sounds of that persons soul.Shinazugawa Sanemi hated the sea and everything that came with it, the smell of the ocean was too much for him to handle and so he tried to block it out with the scent of flowers. But the sea swallows all and as the florals wilt he will need to come to terms with a truth he’d rather die than admit to.
Tomioka loved the scent of pine, the forests in which he trained with the boy made out of light were the best days of his life. When that light was lost he believed he would never smell that scent the same again, imagine his shock when the new hashira held the exact same scent as that boy.
