the key clanks with noise as he moves up the stairs. it echoed slightly, but straight annoying enough for him to take his other hand and wrap it around. when he steps on the next few steps, he can only hear his foot vibrating amongst the walls. he hums.
one final stretch and hes finally at the rooftop door. when he plugs the key in the hole, it moves slightly before he reaches his hand out to open it. if he had dollars for how much this happened, you could call him rich. the air sweeps inside before he climbs his way to the outside, closing the door behind him with a small clank. the temperature was nice enough to stay outside, not too cold, not too hot.
