   I realize I've binged this without commenting? I absolutely love this, particularly the way you capture the contrast between Buckys tone and his words. And the way the mission head, imperative and briefing have different tones. 10/10

      I do the same thing believe me - it's harder to comment on podfic, when you listen while doing other things, etc. I appreciate you coming back to let me know you liked it!

   Thank you so much for all the work and care you've put into making this podfic. I have spent many wonderful hours listening and re-listening to this story; hearing a chapter or two helps me get to sleep on hard night, get going on hard mornings or just enjoy a peaceful hour or two on the weekends. You have such a talent for bringing the story to life! Now that the last chapter of "The Long Hard Road Begins at Home" has posted I'm a little sad to think that "Long Road" is complete, that no more is coming, but I've started re-listening to your recordings this weekend to lift my spirits.

    Just finished "The Long Road Begins at Home." OMG, I'm right there with you. It's taken a long time to finish listening to these. I just love your voice. Whenever I even think of writing Steve & Bucky, I hear your voice in my head, narrating. I just love your characterization of them. I love your plain speak and how you pitch the tone just right when Mission or something speaks. You have a great pace of reading, wonderful pronunciation, and it's been just a pleasure to listen to this. I am so excited that you chose such a wonderful story to podfic, but you took it to whole new level. I wish I could hear so many other novels spoken in your delicious voice. Thank you so much for doing this series of stories. I'm going to miss it. It's been quite the ride and I feel so much better for listening. Oh, yeah, I also played clips of Cat Elinore & Lidia's cussing. They thought it was as amazing as I did. Not quite straight man, just a touch of humor- like a smile in your voice. Those clips are worth listening to.

    Wow, i finally finished listening to this entire fic, took me quite a few days but so totally worth it !! I was a bit teary myself listening to your emotion at the end, you must have spend quite a long time and efforts recording that, and well, i really like Owlet takes on Bucky, and it's end perfectly, even if i did not really wanted it to end .
    Thank you for taking this time (to record it), I was waiting for you to finish in order to listen to the entire podfic instead and I do not regret waiting. ^^ Quite a good end to my week end.

    hello hi i realized i’ve been listening to your podfics for a little while now but i don’t think i’ve left a comment! i listened to all of “if they haven’t learned your name” and now am slowly making my way through this one. they are special and helpful to me - they “make a quiet space in my head” as the kids say ;)

    oh and i just posted my first podfic and don’t think i would’ve done it if i hadn’t been inspired by you! i was like “i want to put a lot of effort into reading a story to strangers on the internet, that sounds nice” and it really is! so yeeeeah just wanted to say i appreciate you and your work !

    Im so grateful that you made this! Oh man being able to listen to this story as an audiobook is so good and you really captured the voice of the characters! The really sweet end bit of you talking as you shocked me for a moment because I had grown so used to thinking of your voice as Barnes’s voice. Ugh this story is so good and you’re such a good narrator pardon me while I cry in a corner goodnight

    I am back to listen to this for what has to be the seventh or eighth time because it is my favorite fic read by my favorite podficcer, and perhaps this is strange, but you have such a comforting, steady voice, so I like listening to this one when I'm stressed or overwhelmed because you've taken such a wonderful, comforting series and made it even more wonderful with your reading! This series is where I began listening to your work in 2017 or so, and I appreciate you taking the time to create it, especially since it's so lengthy! I don't think I can overstate the amount of peace and joy this work has brought me, and it's definitely kept me company through a couple of drives up and down the entire US east coast as my road trip story, too. Thank you for sharing it <3

    I realize this is an older work but I've been listening to all your podfics this past month and this is definitely one of my favorites, and it's been such a comfort, so thank you! It's such a good series and I love your voiceacting. (And sorry if this is a weird question but I was wondering what you'd consider your accent? My friend insisted you are from Chicago, and I'm fascinated by American accents as an outsider. If it's too personal or odd, don't worry about it.)

       Aw thankie, I love getting comments on older works, its not like podfic expires, thank fuck and all the angels. I'm from New Orleans, actually, city of a thousand accents, but specifically the part where people talk a lot like Brooklyn only slower bc its too hot to hurry, but also my mom was a Very Proper English teacher and I went to a grad school where accents were Not Cool so I kinda code switch back and forth like ya' do, I narrate in my customer service voice basically lol. This fandom is such my comfort zone, between all the NYC and Anthony Mackie being from N'Awlins too. God help me if I gotta do any UK stuff!

    Hey I wanted to come let you know that whenever I’m having a really hard time in college I always come and listen to this podfic, because if bucky can unfuck his life then I probably can too. I just finished my undergraduate thesis and so I wanted to say thank you, your recording of this story has had a genuine and tangible positive impact on my life and I figured you should know that :)
