The New War
Book 9: Darkness closing
The galaxy is at war! Forces of a civilization that once ruled the galaxy before being exiled have breached the galaxy and begun conquering it. They change space they take, making using FTL technology there impossible without using their technology. The defenders managed to steal this technology, but it is working only on organic ships. However, hope has now risen as Iconian scientists have found a way to restore changed space back to normal, thus removing the defenders’ need to rely on organic ships.
However, as this technology is still being distributed throughout the allied forces, the main front is approaching Unity’s Haven. As the allies are still fighting the enemy vanguard, the Bohandi and preparing to defend their capital…
Chapter 1
Preparations
The entire Bohandi fleet was assembling near Unity’s Haven as Central Command assembled in the briefing room of their building. Almost everyone was there, having been recalled from their previous assignments, with notable absence of general F’al.
-Thank you all for coming - Admiral Wal’ker said once everyone was there. - As you should know, the enemy is coming here. It is estimated that they’ll reach Unity’s Haven in 3 days. We have to prepare ourselves. Is the technology that Iconians gave us installed?
- My people are working on it - General Wal’ls said. - It will be ready in time.
- I hope so - captain Ba'ga said.
- But why is general Fa'l not here - admiral Fa'la said. - And why there’re no alien ships here to help us?
- General Fa'l is on a mission - Wal'ker said.
- What mission? - Fa'la said.
- I can’t tell you that - Wal'ker replied. - It’s classified.
Fa'la made an annoyed sight.
- What about the aliens? - she asked. - Are we going to stand alone again?
- The aliens will come when they can - Wal'ker said. - What they’re doing is very important too,
- And what if we lose? - Fa'la said.
- If we lose, we fall back to New Bohus - Wal'ker said. - We are Bohandi. We’ll do our best. Now, we have to prepare for this battle. I need you to be focused. And no complaining. Understood, Fa'la?
- Yes, admiral - Fa'la said.
