Harris Drover, hand to God, loves his job.
He does! He loves that he gets to use his degree every day, especially when he constantly sees classmates posting "Available for Hire" on their LinkedIn pages. He gets to promote a really progressive team in an otherwise conservative league, and he gets to push out the Centaurs' message that hockey is for everyone. He loves that everyone in the organization, from the owners to the GM to the coaches to the players to all of the people who make Ottawa tick, is dedicated to their mission.
It doesn't hurt that he met his fiancée through his job, either. His very hot, very sweet, very exhausted fiancée, who is currently passed out on top of Harris because the past few weeks (or, honestly, the past few months) have caught up to him.
Harris supposes it is exhausting to be an MLH Cup Winner.
And it's probably exhausting as a newly engaged MLH Cup Winner.
It's been a hell of a ride since Ilya Rozanov lifted the Cup in front of the Ottawa fans, what with the parades and parties and celebrations and interviews, and oh yeah, Troy proposing at Drover Sunday dinner the day after they won the Cup.
So, yes, Harris does, in fact, love his job very much.
But that doesn't mean that he isn't so goddamn grateful that they're finally getting a chance to rest. They have no place to be for the next few days. They can be lazy, move to the couch to their bed, and back again over and over. They can order whatever junk food Troy has been denying himself through the playoffs. They can spend the days rotting while they watch daytime television. They can finally, finally make time for sex that isn't rushed handjobs and immediately followed by one or both of them passing out from exhaustion.
It's fucking glorious.
Harris is focused on combing his fingers through Troy's hair while Maury asks who the father is when his phone pings with a notification.
Out of habit more than anything, he very carefully leans forward to grab his phone off of the coffee table, hoping not to disturb Troy.
"You said no working," Troy mumbles from Harris' chest.
Well, there goes that plan.
"It may not even be work," he replies, still reaching for the phone. He can't reach it, though, not without moving Troy, which is simply not an option. "Could be Mom or Margot checking in."
Troy lifts his head up then, and God, it's not fair how sexy this man is when his hair is all sleep-rumpled, and there are lines on his cheek from where it was pressed into Harris' shirt. And that playoff beard, damn.
"It's not," Troy says. "You told them to call me if they needed something because you weren't 'looking at your phone for three whole days.'" He adds air quotes around the last part with one hand. The other hand is conveniently moving between the back of the couch and Harris' ass. Dammit, how is he so fucking cute and incredibly sexy?
"Ugh, fine," Harris says, now trying to move Troy off of him with little success. "It could be an emergency."
"It's not," Troy replies, and he somehow manages to get heavier, making it damn near impossible to move him. Jerk.
"But what if it is?" he asks. "What if, I don't know, the rink is on fire?"
"Then," Troy replies. "There is nothing you can do, unless you secretly became a firefighter without telling me."
"Not a firefighter," Harris replies as he makes one more attempt to grab the phone.
Which is the exact moment that Troy leans up and bites hard on his carotid.
"Oh," Harris says, shakily. He pulls Troy's face up so he can kiss him properly.
Harris forgets about the phone.
Later, when they're both sweaty and naked (and on the floor somehow?), Harris does remember the phone, and he blindly reaches up for it.
"You can check it," Troy replies from where he's pressed into Harris' side, beard scratching Harris' skin while he talks. "And then text Beatrice to handle it."
"But what if they need me and not the Assistant Director of Communications?" Harris asks with a smirk.
"Well, the Senior Director of Communications is going to be otherwise occupied," Troy replies as he starts kissing up his chest. Damn these athletes with endless stamina. Harris does have a heart condition, but no one would think that with how his dick twitches in interest.
"Fine, fine," he finally says as he unlocks his phone and pulls down the notification panel.

Harris may not be the Centaurs' Social Media Coordinator anymore, but he still has notifications for all of the players, mostly to stay in the loop.
"What is it?" Troy asks.
"Shane posted, one second," he replies.
Harris taps on the bubble, and he's greeted with a shot of Ilya and Shane kissing before the end of Game 5. Admittedly, it's a good picture. Gen and Mel, their social media coordinator, really nailed it. Ever since the Centaurs posted it on socials the day after the win, it's been trending.
He smiles and shows it to Troy. "Look how cute they are," Harris says.
"Yes, very cute," Troy replies before biting Harris' nipple. Fuck. "That is not a job for the Senior Director of Communications."
"You are correct on that," Harris replies as he pulls the phone back to himself, ready to text Beatrice and tell her to pass the message along to Mel when he catches sight of the number of comments and likes.
"Holy shit," Harris says.

Instagram goes down because of… Shane Hollander?
Once again, Shane Hollander's love of Ilya Rozanov takes the internet by storm.

Anyone who knows anything about Major League Hockey (MLH) has most likely heard about the first husbands of hockey, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov.

For those who need a refresher, Rozanov and Hollander were both drafted in 2009, Rozanov going first to the Boston Raiders and Hollander going second to the Montreal Metros. What followed was a years-long rivalry between the two, or so we all thought.
In March 2021, Hollander and Rozanov were seen sharing an intimate moment in a Hayden Pike FanMail video. Pike was unaware that he'd caught the two kissing in the background of the video, and the video was shared on Twitter.

Their relationship took the world by storm, and that summer, the two — affectionately called "Hollanov" by fans of the two — were married in a private ceremony at their home in Ottawa. Later that summer, Hollander signed with the Ottawa Centaurs, ready to play alongside his new husband.
Under Rozanov and Hollander's leadership, the Centaurs went on to have a record-breaking year, capping off a terrific season by winning the MLH Cup in June.

Well, now, Hollander has posted a rarely seen glimpse into their lives together, and honestly, we're all swooning.

Apparently, we weren't the only ones! Less than two hours after the post went up on Instagram, users reported an outage to the photo-sharing site, saying that their app was struggling to load.
Hours later, Meta confirmed in a statement that Instagram had gone down due to an "unexpected and rapid influx of users that the site was unable to control." They went on to assure users that the site was back up and running.

Now, Meta didn't say that Hollanov broke Instagram, but they didn't not say it, you know?
The post is now the most liked photo on Instagram, with more than 16 million likes and nearly 500,000 comments in less than 24 hours. The previous record was held by Kylie Jenner, whose post of Stormi Webster garnered 14 million likes in its first 24 hours.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're going to stare at these pictures for the rest of eternity.
