Chapter Text
Chuuya was pissed.
He just came back from a two week long mission in France and hadn’t even gotten an hour of rest before Mori called him back to his office. While the France mission had given him French wine and fancy suites, he was also given negotiations and blood to deal with, a lot of blood. So he thought that he’d be able to have the day off, in fact Mori said it was his day off. But no, Mori’s psychotic-ass decided to push his day off to never and drag him to his office.
“Come in,” Mori’s muffled voice said as Chuuya knocked on his door. Chuuya walked into his boss’s office. “Ah Chuuya, please take a seat while we wait for our second guest.”
“Boss,” Chuuya bowed his head as he took a seat in one of the two chairs in front of Mori’s desk. He had assumed that Mori had called him down for a new mission, a solo mission. But it seemed that Mori had something else in mind.
After a few, awkward moments, someone walked into the room. Chuuya didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was, because there was only one person he knew that was “brave” enough to walk into the boss’s office without knocking on the door.
Osama fucking Dazai.
Don’t get him wrong, he and Dazai worked scarily well together, so it made sense why Mori would want to send them out on a mission. That doesn’t mean he has to like Dazai though. Then why does his heart beat uncontrollably whenever they’re in the same room?
“Ah, Dazai-san, thanks for finally joining us,” Mori said with a strained smile. “Next time please knock before coming in.”
“Ah, but Mori-sama, you interrupted my latest and greatest, suicide attempt with this meeting, so it only seems fair to just walk in.”
The tension was so thick, Chuuya felt like a third wheel to a toxic relationship. Mori and Dazai have a weird relationship. Mori treats Dazai like an object, and Dazai just lets him. Which seems so uncharacteristic to the Dazai the Chuuya has grown to know and love.
Dazai slumped into the seat next to Chuuya and gave Chuuya a teasing smirk, he got scowl back in return.
“You’re probably both wondering why I’ve called you guys here today, well you have a new mission,” damnit, it was a joint mission. Mori slid two folders in front of the two. Chuuya’s was, upsettingly, a lot thicker than Dazai’s folder.
“Lately the pro heroes have been meddling with Yokohama more often then usual and as the Port Mafia we can’t let them get away with this and live, so, Chuuya, you will be sent to U.A. high as a spy and will slowly destroy the heroes from inside. Your ultimate goal is to kill their symbol of peace and destroy the hero society.”
U.A. high! Chuuya was mafioso, the second half of Double Black, soon to be executive, not a fucking hero-wannabe! Ugh, he didn’t even want to open the stupid folder now.
“As for you Dazai, a new villain group has been trying to break into Yokohama’s border as well, they’re known as “The League of Villains”. You’ll have to destroy them from the inside, and, unlike with Chuuya, don’t be afraid to kill them if and when necessary.”
The League of Villains? What kind of stupid name is that? That’s like if they named the Port Mafia, “The Port of Criminals.” Maybe going to U.A. high wasn’t that bad after all…nope it still was. At least Dazai can still commit crimes, Chuuya has to pretend to be a goodie two-shoes.
After finally gaining the courage, he finally opened his folder.
Name-Chuuya Nakahara
Objective(s)-Destroy the Hero society, kill All Might
Time length-10 months to a year (time may differ)
Personality-Kind, Polite, Caring
Backstory-He was born into an abusive family. While he is a kind person, he, though rarely, will act out, get angry. He’ll flinch at sudden noises and touch. Sometimes he’ll say cruel things because he thinks it’s normal to say. He’ll get attached easily to kids his age, but when it comes to adults he’s very cautious.
Personal Note-Get close to some of the pro hero’s and gain as much information from them and your future “classmates,” the apartment you will live in contains two pro heroes,at the very least, try to befriend them, gain their trust. You will also be given a two week break after the mission is over. -Ougai Mori
Did Mori just want to torture him!? Actually he probably did, but that doesn’t change the fact that this was total bullshit. A year of hell! “Kind, Polite, Caring,” Chuuya wasn’t any of those, at least that’s what he tells himself. At least he gets a two week break after the mission is over.
“You have until tomorrow to get ready. Dismissed.”
———
“Chibi~”
“For the fifth time, no I won’t pack your bag”
“Bad dog!”
Chuuya was so done with Dazai, but at least he’ll get a year long break from the Mackerel.
He opens his file again, reviewing all the information about the pro heros that he was given. The two pro heroes that live in the same building as his temporary living quarters are named Hizashi Yamada and Aizawa Shouta, hero names are Present Mic and Eraserhead. They seem…interesting to say the least. They both work at U.A. high, Hizashi as the English teacher and Aizawa as a home room teacher. Apparently Aizawa is known to expel students, last year he expelled his whole class, yeesh.
“Chuuyaaaaaaaa!”
“What, Mackerel?”
“I’m bored! Do you have any canned crab!?”
“Yes, but if I give you some you better eat at least half, got it?”
He would never admit it to the Mackerel, but he always keeps stashes of canned crab for whenever Dazai is hungry, which is not that often.
“Of course Chibi~”
Just a few more hours and he won’t have to see this stupid Mackerel for a long time, sadly thank god.
———
It was now time to leave and, upsettingly, Chuuya had ended up packing Dazai’s bag. In his defense, the Mackerel wouldn’t have done it himself. Now they were both heading out of the Port Mafia headquarters.
Dazai grabs Chuuya’s shoulder and hands him a small box.
“Those are ear pieces, once you put them on they are no longer visible to the human eye. We’ll use them as a way to communicate, it’s safer than using a phone. Got it?”
Chuuya gives Dazai a tired nod in return. He had spent all night studying the little information on the heroes that he was given and got no sleep. Not to mention the lack of sleep he had gotten during the mission in France and the lack of time he was given to regain the sleep he lost. Hopefully he’ll be able to get some sleep in the car and the two weeks between now and when the exams are.
Speaking of which, the SUVs had finally arrived and were now waiting for their passengers.
“Now you be a good dog, got it?”
“Oh, shut it…”
He gets in the SUV. He better get comfortable, this is a 6 hour drive.
Not even twenty minutes into the ride there, had he already fallen asleep.
———
He was awoken by the sound of what he thought was a war, but it turned out that he had just arrived in Mustafa. Mustafa was so different from Yokohama, and why does that guy have eyes on his hands? He already hated the place.
“Just 10 more minutes, Chuuya-san, then we’ll arrive at your apartment”
Mori had bought him a small apartment, since he was supposed to be a poor, abused child, who used his own money to buy himself an apartment. He just hopes he won’t have to be killing spiders and insects everyday.
He looks back out the window, still half asleep but feeling well rested for the first time in over a week. The city was so bright and everywhere he looked he saw some random hero he’d never heard of. It was all so…weird. He wanted to go home.
His moment of disgust-filled, mesmerization was interrupted by a buzzing sound. The sound was coming from the black box that Dazai gave him. The Mackerel had told him what was in the box…ears, right? He opened the small, black box and realized it was in fact not ears but an ear piece. He, begrudgingly, put the ear piece in his ear and answered the call by tapping on the ear piece.
“Chibi! I’ve been trying to reach you for over an hour, but you haven’t answered!” Dazai’s annoying voice was practically ringing through his head.
“Yeah, yeah, I was sleeping, dumbass. Why are you calling me anyways?”
“Just wanted to check up on my amazing doggy, I arrived at my place two hours ago, but it seems like you still have some to go, hm~?”
He was not dealing with this right after waking up.
“Goodbye, Dazai.” He didn’t even let the Mackerel respond before taking out the ear piece, which is one of two ways to end a call. The other way is by double tapping your ear, but, in his opinion, neither option seemed as inconspicuous as the ear piece was supposed to be.
Five minutes had passed since he had woken up, which means his mission officially begins in five minutes. He has five minutes before he has to act like a goodie two-shoes. Five more minutes before his dignity kills itself. Five minutes before he can’t drink alcohol legally, not like he was drinking it legally to begin with.
Five more minutes.
———
Five minutes.
In five minutes a new neighbor is suppose to arrive and Hizashi couldn’t wait. He loved people, unlike his husband who hated everyone, and he couldn’t wait to meet their new neighbor.
Will they be a girl or a boy, maybe non-binary? Will they have kids? If so, what age are their kids? Are they married? Will they be young or old? He just couldn’t wait!
Anyways, he had dragged Aizawa out of the apartment and was now standing in the dark waiting for their new neighbor. He could tell, without having to turn around, that Aizawa was agitated. He may or may not have dragged him out here an hour earlier. In his defense though, he doesn’t quite know when their neighbor is arriving, he’s not even sure if they really will be arriving in five minutes.
“You sure they’ll be here in five minutes?” Hizashi’s lovely husband, Aizawa, was clearly not in the mood, so maybe he dragged him out here four hours ago, instead of one hour ago.
“Mhm! Definitely!”
He was not sure, but a happy husband is a happy life. Yes, he knows that’s not how the saying goes, there really should be a male version of that saying. He also knows that his husband is currently not happy.
———
Five more minutes.
Hizashi had told him that the new neighbor was going to arrive in five minutes. He’s been saying that for the past four hours. Aizawa was not happy.
His husband was a great person at heart but he could be very annoying at times. This was one of those times.
In fact, Hizashi made him take off his usual night shift, just to wait four hours in the cold to meet the new neighbor. Why’d he marry Hizashi again? Okay, maybe that was a bit overdramatic, he loved his husband very much.
He just hopes they’re not a family. He already has Hizashi and his future problem children to deal with. Speaking of which, he has a meeting to go to in the morning regarding U.A.’s entrance exams. Yet, here he was, waiting outside his apartment complex for some random person, just because Hizashi wants to be the first person in their apartment complex to meet the new neighbor.
He is going to be so cranky in the morning, but he always is cranky
.
