Work Text:
All things considered, Oz was a well-behaved werewolf. He didn't try to get out of the library's mail grate and eat people after he was locked up on moonlit nights. When transformed, he was oddly amenable to the Scoobie's company—especially Willow's. She wasn't sure if he was him, per se, in that state, but… it was like he knew.
The transformation seemed painful. But, Willow reasoned, it wasn't remotely as painful as being alone, scared and hurting and beastly. So, on moonlit nights, she would read aloud to Oz, her words lulling the beast into a calm, restful peace.
