Work Text:

Fabbo knew he hadn't been fair. Not to his wife.. And not to Daisy. In fact, he felt like the most awful person alive. One that deserved to be called out for what he'd done.

The first time he'd had fun together with Daisy at the club.. It had been wrong and he'd known it. But it had also been exciting just because of how frowned upon it would be if anyone came to learn of his activities. Of the lies he'd gotten in the habit of telling. All of that.. just so he could keep seeing Daisy in secret. And that was exactly what he'd done. A one-time fling at the club had turned into many. Dancing and belly shots had turned to kissing behind the club. On the backseat of Fabbo's car. Wherever.

His wife still had no idea. At least, he knew she didn't. But regardless, Fabbo knew that he wouldn't be able to keep living two lives like this. Sooner or later someone would see him with Daisy, or otherwise learn about them. And then it would be only a matter of time before his wife would learn about just how unfaithful he had been. Would he be ready to potentially lose everything, his family and the life they'd built together?

No.. He didn't think so. As much as he cared about Daisy, some things had to change. And so, on one ordinary Thursday evening he was on his way to meet up with her. They both still had a chance to return to their normal lives. Even if the flame would never be put out completely. It might keep burning beneath the surface, but he needed to do this. Daisy deserved better than him. She should have a chance to find a loving partner much closer to her own age. Not someone who was already halfway to being a fossil.

They met behind the club. The same one that had become the backdrop of their little, forbidden escapade.
"Hey,"
Daisy cooed and fluttered her eyelashes at Fabbo. He had to immediately remind himself about what exactly he was there to do. Not to think with his dick and to dig them both even deeper into the shit, but to actually make the effort to return things to how they were supposed to be.
"Hi,"
he breathed out and allowed his eyes to admire Daisy. She wore her usual black miniskirt. A long, cream-colored winter jacket covered all of her upper body and even some of her thighs veiled by her black tights. But not too much to prevent Fabbo from still admiring them, from admiring her as a whole. Apart from the coat, her outfit really wasn't very weather-appropriate.
"Fuck.."
Fabbo groaned under his breath as he devoured her with his eyes. Daisy bit her lower lip as she saw the look in his eyes. They approached each other and allowed their bodies to slot together. It was effortless.. Way too much so. He felt a guilty pang in his chest as his lips touched hers. It turned out that he still had a conscience, after all. Still, his body didn't listen to what his mind was trying to say. Fabbo's hands traveled down Daisy's back, caressing it through her soft coat before coming to a rest by her ass. He needed to stop. This wasn't what he was supposed to be doing, not at all. He'd never make it out of this mess if he wouldn't be able to find his backbone.

"Listen, Daisy.."
he sighed as he reluctantly pulled away from her, hands still remaining around her waist. But not before breathing in the familiar scent of her hair.
"I love you and I really care about you, but.. We can't keep doing this."
He saw Daisy tilt her head as she listened. Good.. At least she really was listening to him when he needed it the most.
"I don't want to ruin your life and public image. Sooner or later we would be found out, and I don't want to put you through it. That's why I think.. It's for the best that we remain as family friends, nothing else."
He then kissed her again, with all the passion still left in him. Her hands were resting around his waist.
"Are you sure you want this?"
she finally whispered.
"..No,"
Fabbo mumbled into her hair.
"And I'm going to miss you. Miss.. us."
"Me, too.."
Daisy told him. And that time it was her that kissed him first. Fabbo leaned right into it. But eventually came the time when he had to pull away.
"Goodbye, Daisy.."
he said and touched her cheek one last time before turning away and walking back to his car. He would return home.. And learn to be a good husband and father once more.
