Work Text:
I had taken root in my office for the day to crack down on the required paperwork and small few hours of meetings that also required my attention. It was when the sun began its setting and coloring the few to none clouds in the sky purple-ish pink, when the office grew a sudden chilling effect. Small puffs of white ice clouds fluttered the room as an individual showed through a portal, their hair was white and elegant, same with her posture as she landed softly on the marble ground. “Greeting young brother” she greeted, as she sat down on the green cushion. Surprised by her sudden appearance, “What do I owe the pleasure, Velz-Vel-elder sister?” Having to remind myself of her threats of calling her anything but ‘elder sister’.
She gave a slight smile, “Nothing much really, just thought I would stop by”
“I see” giving some sort of reply, before gazing back down at the task in hand.
When she broke the silence of just pen scratching, “Rimuru,” she addressed causally. Making me look up from my writing, replying with an empty, but curious, “Yes?”
“You wouldn’t mind distracting Guy for me would you?” Velzard half wondered and asked.
“If you don’t mind me, why? Do you want me to do that?” I asked curiously.
“I just wanted to remodel something and I don’t want his opinion” She answered, hinting at her past annoyance when she must’ve tried doing so.
“How am I meant to distract Guy of all people?” Being a bit rhetorical, fully knowing the hows and whats, but asked anyway. Besides I’m sure she herself could wave him off somewhere…and that somewhere was here or not even go along with his opinion /Plus wouldn’t he say something about it when he got back?/. “You know more than me,” She added. Taking a moment for my thoughts, “Well?”
“Well, the thing is, he’s going to catch on. What are you going to do about that?” Adding in my thoughts.
“Just call him over through the crystal.” She answered, giving the coffee table a small freeze of ice. “Besides you two should spend some time together anyway, it’s been some months”
“Stuff piles up and I have to get it done, minusing the amount of human city board meetings I need to attend” Giving the reason for such a long forced distance of time spent with each other. Personally I’d love to entertain the idea of spending time with him; disregarding any antics, but my country came first, since it was the first thing I could love as a whole physically. So it tended to overshadow much of the time, with work and friends. Also Guy lived rather far, ruling his own country, sided with Velzard of course; making it easier for him to come and see me, instead of the other way around. Velzard gave a thoughtful hum, letting herself lean into the couch. Her attention on a figure she conjured from the small silent minutes. “I suppose I could work around your schedule” she seemed to say to herself, before switching to a more casual compromising tone, “When do you think you’ll be available?”
“For how long?” I wondered, the work below being switched to the next. Awaiting its signature.
“Well, I would say just a day would be satisfactory, but knowing him, I believe a week.” She answered, smiling, possibly thinking over the other things she wanted to change. “You wouldn’t mind giving a helping hand to your older sister, would you?” She gaslighted.
Withholding a sigh of hindrance, “The best I could do for you, would be in some days.”
With a content smile, showing itself across her face once more, “All I needed was some agreement” she then added, standing. “I will depart now,” as she disappeared the chilly air went with her, the light ice clouds turned back to their heated vapor in the air. Letting the faint smell of stone replace the refreshing scent of snow.
When she did leave, Rimuru waited some moments before leaning back in his chair with a groan, hands pressing against his face. The alarm bells of his nonexistent heart rang in his ears. He slid his hands down his face stopping at his cheeks while he leaned forward and rested his elbows against the table, before just choosing to lay his head on his arms. Making sure to move the document below off to the side.
The last three days were a hectic nightmare, but it got things done and rolling along. Crashing into my bed, feeling the plush blankets and the cushion of the mattress, my body felt welcomed as it began to relax, feeling the weight I was holding on my shoulders be lifted as my back decompressed. Even as a slime, this still felt good, no, wonderful. But I forced myself to sit up, while staring off at my five second walk over to a closet, holding the most random of things he could think of, some were even unthinkable. One of the thinkable items was the communicator; a small averaged weighted glass-looking crystal ball. This was also the only item that had a designated spot and cushion. As he picked it up by the cushion, he went over to his desk, which sat opposite of the closet. Setting it on the desk, moving some things around allowing space for the object. I sent a call request and waited for it to be answered. It took some time, eventually, an individual answered. Their form being shown as a tiny live portrait of them. “What a funny time to call, Rimuru.” A voice spoke, from the crystal. The essence of entertainment present. “I was about to call you. And ask when you’re free to be mine for some hours”
“Heh, yeah I suppose it was a funny timing.” Rubbing the back of his neck, “Well, I have an okay schedule now, so we could hangout together, at my place, though I still have things that need completing”
“I would never say no” he paused for a minute, as it showed his head turning as someone talked to him. As his attention shifted back he asked, “What time would be best?” Plus a comment, which was inaudible.
“Tomorrow afternoon and on, works for me” I answered.
“See you then” he replied with a visible smile.
“Bye” copying the action on my own face, raising my hand up for a small wave.
”It’s been a while since we got to hangout.” Guy mused, taking a drink of the offered tea. Finding it somewhat pleasant, while his eyes remained on his target and source of conversation. He then added, “I’m glad that you have some breaks.”
“Well, I gotta have some life out of just being a ruler” Rimuru responded with a small smile creeping along his lips for a short moment. Clearly enjoying himself. Guy seemed to copy it before taking a bite of a pastry. Watching the person across from him reply to his subordinates' question over a trivial issue concerning himself, wanting the other’s attention, preferably only on him, but remained unchanged physically.
Rimuru’s attention returned while he spoke, “Excuse my subordinate, never know what sudden things might pop up” ending it with a slight exhale. “How have things been going lately for you?”
“Nothing out of the ordinary” giving his basic reply whenever the question tended to pop up. “Other than the boring things, how have you been?” Continuing the light hearted conversation.
“Rather enjoyable and fun” Rimuru replied somewhat sarcastically, choosing to stab a strawberry with his fork, “I even came up with a few ideas for the labyrinth, though the real fun could amount to three days worth” ending with a slight edge of complaining. Waving the strawberry around, before eating it in one bite. “You must’ve been everywhere then” choosing to adding on my thought, “I wouldn't mind help take the edge off”
“That’s already happening,” he replied in a hushed tone.
“Ever thought of coming around to my place soon?” I Wondered.
“Don’t think I could anytime soon really” Rimuru replied, taking another bite of his pastry.
“That’s a shame, wish I could help relax you more” stealing food off his plate, “Besides there is no one to be a bother”
“Hey! You have your own food” he randomly complained.
“And?” Unbothered by it.
“And..,” He carried out, “there is food to choose from on the platter” while he pointed at the platter, like it was some medium dividing the table.
“That includes your plate” I continued, “there is no line telling me I can’t have what’s on your plate”
“My plate indicates what I’m eating” he continued on from his last thought.
Leaning back, “Well, since you want to be stingy, grab something off of my plate” slightly gesturing at mine. Rimuru gave a light eyebrow raise. “As if you would be willing to do that”
“I’m offering aren’t I?” Pausing for a second as he simply gazed at me, “Or should I just give it back to you by a kiss?”
“Never mind,” he replied looking off into the room for a second. With a content sigh, I begin, “You know, I wouldn’t mind if you chose to flirt back for once” He gives a side glance, with a small flush of pink on his cheeks. Rimuru leaned back with a sigh “Its not really my thing” he admitted.
As a bubble up of a chuckle came from my end. “Doesn’t hurt to try? Possibly?” I added.
“Well, I.. don’t know how” he then admitted again, with a nervous tone, putting his hands under the table, letting them lay on his lap. The food on his plate was well forgotten for some minutes as he then picked at it. “Come on,” I encouraged, “I do it to you all the time, don't tell me you weren’t listening?” Letting myself also lean forward.
After a small pause and an embarrassed shift, he committed to a simple, “Yeah…no”
“Why not try?” Once more encouraging him.
He shook his head, “I couldn’t”
“Says the one who sat himself on my lap and kissed me.” Enjoying the memory as I finished, “You were pretty confident then”
“Yeah, before you admitted how you were willing to offer more” he added, the blush became a deepening rose pink.
“Not like I wasn’t loving it though,” I continued on.
“I’m aware,” he added quickly.
“Speaking of such things, when do I get to have you in my arms?” Addressing a want, “I’ve been kindly waiting for the invitation” lacing my fingers together and resting my chin on them.
“I don’t know, maybe,” he paused for a second, a mischievous smile creeping across his lips, he leaned forward copying my position a little bit, “Invitation? That’s unlike you. You normally take you want” at the end he shied away from his previous confidence. Glancing off to the side.
“Oh~,” I couldn’t help but gleam, “What would this invitation be offering to me? That only I could have?”
He once more paused, still embarrassed to speak in such a tone. This was a rather lovely treat, that was already just mine. “You’d have to be in my room to know” he replied, the confidence remaining a constant tone.
“My, my, would I be the one undressing you?” Immersing myself, in this delight. Seeing the small shift in his seat.
As Rimuru taunted back, “I believe you’re already doing it with your eyes” by now the blush was across his face, tipping his ears red.
It was a beautiful sight, hearing his words, watching his face, his eyes gaze around then at me. “Pretty sure my hands could do better” uncaring for the desire that gripped my voice, “I’ll take what’s mine, and take my time with it, just so your body knows who it belongs to”
There was a long silent pause after those words, I wondered what was going through his thoughts at the moment, while he sat there. “Alright enough” he suddenly demanded. Scooting back from the table.
I wanted him to continue. “Aww, why? Weren’t you having fun?” Topping it off, “Were you going to give me the offer?”
“Keep the thoughts to yourself” he responded, the blush all but a fading light pink.
“Come on a little longer” I coaxed.
He gave a short sigh, putting his head back hand pressing against his face covering his mouth, while a few fingers covered his eyes, saying a muffled, “My life doesn’t need anymore” as he then moved to lean on the table.
Resting on the table, leaning my head on my right hand, “Now you’re being a bore” making the discontent known, “Instead, come over here, I want you in my arms”
“Better be nothing else” he advised.
“I must add a kiss,” addressing his questioning gaze, “Besides, how else would I dare leave you?”
He raised an eyebrow and replied with another questioned expression, “Don’t know with your questionable tastes”
Smirking at the comment, “I was just replying to what you started” leaning back, lightly shrugging. He pondered, eating the last of his pastry. Over the next few minutes I let him sit pondering, wondering what he was thinking of, watching the rhythmic movement of his fingers lightly tapping the table. “Rimuru~? Hello~?” Standing in front of his chair, seeing how his thoughts had taken him. He noticed me with a simple, “Yes?”
“Let’s move somewhere else” more stating than suggesting, while picking him up. It was obvious that a subordinate had contacted him via telepathy. Gently bopping him in the nose to get his attention, to which he shook his head a couple times, before giving me a scowl. With a slight repositioning, I carried him off to his home. Oddly enough Rimuru seemed rather pleased over this action of mine.
