Summary
When Nasa was first to send men to the moon, they sent men who could do the job, but men who were not verbose, men who were hard-pressed to describe their experiences in detail. It was then that we realized that yes, we need engineers who are capable of doing the job, but it does help to send writers and artists and archeologists to record events so we have some way of knowing, too, the experience beyond our wildest imaginations.
To this day there is a program from the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) that will send one into space on a rotating basis.
Trent Crimm has thrown his hat in the race this round and he has been selected to visit The International Space Station for six months. He will have minor duties, of course, but his primary directive is to record. To create. To describe the ephemeral for the everyman.
Through his training, he has been paired with American Theodore "Ted" Lasso, who he will report to when they get to the station.
