MK hopped through the trees checking each of the clearings were all the Little Ones hang out, looking specifically for the more Elder ones. There was something about Monkey Kings history that he wanted to ask, but there aren't many who would brush over the subject or change it.
When he found them MK gently landed, and approached as respectfully as possible.
"Hey guys. Can I ask you why Monkey King and Macaque are being a bit more clingy with me recently? I tried to ask, but they're not giving me any clue why." He asked while crouching down to where they sat under some peach trees.
One signals to MK to sit still, and they start to groom his fur while they began to tell MK a story.

All those centuries ago Wukong and Macaque had talked about having children of their own, and not just watching over the Little Ones and their descendants for the rest of eternity. Or however long their imortalities lasted.
They made many attempts using natural, ritual, and magic, but after many attempts they weren't seeing any lasting results.
They had gone to see many demon healers that their sworn siblings recommended. But the best they could figure is that their achieved Immortality had plummeted their already very low chances of having children naturally.
The two had on many occasions gone to the top of Flower Fruit Mountain where Wukongs egg hatched, believing they would increase their chances of the rituals to succeed.
But everytime they got a result that was hopeful, it would go out not long after. And no matter who checked them over, none of the healers, or mages, could explain their many failed attempts.
Wukong and Macaque had even attempted to craft a Stone Egg, but it seemed like the stone wouldn't or couldn't absorb the energy to even start the process of becoming a True Stone Egg.
They had made one last attempt before Wukong went along with the Brotherhood's plans against the Celestial Realm, but it crumbled before they could even finish the ritual.
So one of the Brotherhood had whispered a conspiracy from the 'gods' to make sure Wukong could never reproduce. And sadly some of his grief caused him to believe the rumors to be true.

MK listens to them, then remembered that it was never clear when Nuwa turned Wukongs egg into His Stone Egg. Then remembered those stories about how Monkey Kings Stone Egg formed from absorbing energy around it...
Did that mean he inadvertently stopped many of their attempts to have kids.
Well at least the Elders guess that the two Monkeys see him as their cub because of the circumstance behind his egg and it's hatching.
Then his mind took a 180 and thought 'They did that infront of my Egg!'
